This is a superb guitar. An Ibanez without a Floyd Rose is just great. If you are sick of the tuning problems and sick of not being able to use big strings on a Floyd Rose bridge without it bending forward like an old man, then get this. The fixed bridge is easy and keeps your strings in place, so there is no need to tune every 5 minutes. Plus, the string thru body design is nice cause you dont have to cut off the string ends and it gives you more sustain. There are only a few problems. My volume knob started shorting out after two months of use, and the five way switch is really unnescessary (I really only used position 1, 3, and 5 because 2 and 4 sound bad). Plus, the black version is very easy to get finger prints on. Get the blue instead. Besides that, it is a great instrument for the price. The pickups arent too bad either. I might suggest getting some EMGs, but if you don't have the money, keep the factory ones. They are pretty clear. The neck is also kickass. Bolt on, but great anyways. Fast, thin, and smooth. Not like those Gibson necks that are thick and gumpy.

Best, most affordable guitar I've ever owned

By Azrial Borden

from Kansas City

This guitar is one of the most affordable guitars with great performance. It's lightweight with an S-style body. Double humbuckers give it good pick up.

This instrument feels and sounds like a high-end, high-priced guitar. I've never seen anything like it at this price.

I love the R321, it was the best for me for the price. Very well suited for modern rock, death metal, power metal, and just straight up jazz. Beautiful tone out of stock pickups, which is very impressive since most stock ones aren't worth their weight in dirt. Anyway and overall, wicked guitar like I said. Love it!

Black Ibanez

By Anonymous

I love my RG. I have 5 guitars, 1 Schecter, 1 Epiphone, 1 Strat, and 1 acoustic, but my Ibanez RG is by far the best. I love it because the neck is thin and fast, the pickups rock, (I put EMG Zakk Wylde pickups on my Schecter that don't even compare) and I love the 5 way switch for different tones when I need it. The body shape is one of the best looking out there, as well as the neck head. For a "cheaper" priced guitar, the quality is really nice, and beats some other more expensive guitars, I have had mine for several years and it hasn't failed me yet and is my favorite guitar so far.

I really like the Ibanez RG321. I have other top name brand guitars that cost ALOT more, and I am very pleased with this one in every way!

The smooth action on this guitar is great. I've been playing for about 8 years and was very impressed with the great tone. If you're looking for a fixed bridge guitar, this one is great.

This guitar is great! I just bought it, but I think it needs four tones and volumes - one for each pickup.

Good for Price

By Sunflare670

from Brainerd, MN

This is a good guitar for those that like to jam, or do small gigs. I also use a Boss pedal that i love and a small Crate amp. If you're serious about playing though, i would suggest a higher Ibanez. My experience with those proves to be better than Gibson.

Wow. Buy this guitar. Now.

By Matt-Gy--Q

from Las Vegas, NV

Ok, I will start by saying that I'm not the best guitar player in the world for darn sure, but I have played my share of nice guitars, and I have to say this is easily the best one I have played. I got mine about 2 months ago, and it plays just like new. The Wizard 2 neck is awesome. The mahogany oil is very nice, but it does kind of scratch a bit easily; still awesome. The body looks just that much better without a pickguard too. The pickups are very nice for factory pickups, and I don't think I'm going to be switching them out any time soon, as well as the strings. If you are just starting out or are interested in buying an awesome guitar for an awesome price, I highly suggest you buy this one, ASAP. It is WELL worth the money.

Excellent for the Price

I didn't play this exact model, i played the 321MH, which is the same thing as this except it has mahogany, so the tone was a little darker. This guitar is great for the money. This guitar plays great, and sounds good. If you changed the pickups (which aren't bad at all) to a DiMarzio, you would get a more aggressive tone, and the guitar would be ridiculously good. You can tell its quality, by holding it. It just seems so solid. The neck is good. The whole guitar is great except for the pickups which is a good instead of a great. Dollar for dollar you can't beat this guitar.

The only bad thing about this guitar is that it has no whammy bar. Other than that, it looks awesome without a pick guard.

RG for those of us who hate Floyd Rose

By Ibanezplayer160

The hardest rocking Ibanez guitar, without a floyd rose type tremolo. Very nice - the pickups are good, but like most stock pickups, they could be better. An absolute MUST BUY for the price!!

great guitar, needs dimarzios

By mrguitarboy

from bella vista, Ar

I have had this guitar for a little over a month and it is great! the only short coming on this model is the powersound pickups. they are good for beginners i suppose but I needed more oooomph to the low and mid ranges. I put a dimarzio tone zone in the bridge and now the guitar is perfect.

I own an RG and they are sweet! I've played some of the more expensive Ibanez guitars, and I must say, a lower RG like this is 95% as good as high end Satriani model. The RG series is great for everyone from beginner to master. I highly recommend any RG series guitar!
