OVERVIEW

An affordable rocker with a basswood body, Wizard neck, maple fingerboard and tremolo bridge.

The RG is the most recognizable and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez line. Three decades of metal have forged this high-performance machine, honing it for both speed and strength. This RG450DM model has a basswood body and a Wizard III neck shape that offers maximum comfort and speed. Its fingerboard is maple with 24 jumbo frets for bigger note bends and it also comes with triple Ibanez INF pickups that are wired to a 5-way switch for a variety of coil combinations and sounds. An Edge-Zero tremolo bridge and black hardware complete the list of hard-rockin' appointments.

Wizard III Maple neck
Ibanez's thin, flat, and fast, yet strong and sturdy, Wizard neck offers unlimited playability for demanding players, and features a two-octave 24-fret fretboard for wide tonal range.

Infinity Pickups
The Infinity neck pickup provides dynamic sound for chording and rhythm playing, and the bridge pickup provides brightness with warm sound and strong harmonics.

Edge-Zero II Tremolo

Comments about Ibanez RG450M Electric Guitar:

Not a bad guitar to just practice with if one is experienced player and or a novice player. The action out of the box was pretty low and fast however my guitar had some buzzing on the low E 6th string but I adjusted that and the high E 1st string tends to pull off the fret board when speed picking at times but I pick hard and fret hard at times so it is probably just my technique.
The overall fretboard is fast and I didn't feel any rough frets as I would other budget guitars would have. I do believe it is a compound radius fretboard 14 to 16.
I do have a problem with tuning stability with dive bombs but that can be solved with a correct set up if I have the time to do it and right now I do not.
Overall the guitar is perfect for practicing for myself though I wouldn't play it live yet until I get it professionally set up and if I do get it done I will consider it.

Comments about Ibanez RG450M Electric Guitar:

This is a great value. The pickups are hot and soulful, the neck is smooth and fast and the quality is top notch. I'm not sure why the fret ends are so rough, but it does detract from the otherwise awesome neck. The color is great too.

Comments about Ibanez RG450M Electric Guitar:

This was the first Ibanez I bought new out of the 5 I have. The wizard 2 & 3 necks are perfect for bigger hands, they just feel right. The set up was off when I got it, the shop I bought it from didn't understand how to level the bridge but once it was all adjusted it has stayed perfectly in tune. The weight and balance of this guitar is amazing.

The pickups are good but they require a lot of patience to get the height right. The neck has to sit quite a ways away from the strings to get the tone to become smooth and full. The bridge is strong but not overwound sounding, definitely not shrill.

I have changed the pickups but only because I need a guitar this great to sound just right, I won't let it go so I am making it exactly how I want. Everything is super solid, tuners and bridge work great with proper set up.
