An exclusive shredder with a gorgeous rosewood top, HSH pickup configuration and ZR-2 tremolo bridge.

The Ibanez S Series 30th Anniversary Electric Guitar is a custom version of the S970w. This is a striking shredder with a unique combination of tonewoods, shape and hardware. The comfortably contoured African mahogany body with rosewood top is perfectly joined to a 3pc Wenge/ Bubbinga neck. The neck incorporates the Wizard Premium design that has the same construction and thickness as the Wizard Prestige and is balanced for both comfort and speed. CAP pickups in an HSH configuration provide a vast variety of tones.

This celebration of our 30th year also features the Ibanez Zero Resistance and Zero Point System 3 tremolo system that permits extreme dive-bombing while returning all the strings back in tune, even if one breaks en route. A locking nut and cosmo black hardware complete this guitar's collection of features.

Only 30 pieces are available. Includes gig bag.

Comments about Ibanez S Series Musician's Friend 30th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

Upon first opening the guitar something didn't feel right. Turns out the truss rod was completely loose...likely a MF error as I assume that they inspect these guitars prior to shipping? Once I tightened it to where it needed to be the guitar came to life! Plays like a dream. Re-strung with 10's and setup things a little differently. New trem style is great as well. Photography does NOT do this guitar justice. Finish is outstanding. Pickups are satisfactory, but like every guitar that I've owned I will likely change them soon down the road...probably to an Evolution set.
Fantastic guitar...was considering a Suhr, PRS, or Ibanez prestige and for the lower cost took a chance...VERY glad that I did!
Now to order a hard case as this only ships with a padded case...not a deal-breaker.

Comments about Ibanez S Series Musician's Friend 30th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

This guitar is the coolest looking, best playing guitar I've ever owned. The fact that it's a limited edition anniversary model only compelled me to purchase it more. The action is great, and the wenge/bubinga neck is very smooth and subtle, and also adds a bit of an exotic look to the guitar. This thing shreds like a beast, also. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fast playing, cool looking axe.

Comments about Ibanez S Series Musician's Friend 30th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

This is by far one of the most beautiful guitars ibanez has ever made. The bridge is extremely nice as well ad the pickups and the fretboard. My only concern when I got it was that the back of the neck had tiny pores like the fretboards do, upon further research I found its ok and you can't even feel it. For a near custom model and only 30 are made, I feel a great sense of pride owning this guitar.

Comments about Ibanez S Series Musician's Friend 30th Anniversary Electric Guitar:

Ok ill be the first to write about this guitar, well i read and seen it, so i took a chance an ordered it before x mas, I been out of town so it been sitting almost a month at my house, so i was excited to open it up i just played it for the first time and was impressed, great quality, great sound, the pictures in the musiciansfriend catalog of this guitar don't do it justice at all they need to use another pic, this guitar is nice! I play mostly metal and blues and this guitar can do it all, I used it on my JVM410, genz benz g flex cab, with mxr carbon copy, maxon808, mxr smart gate, i cranked it up and notice very clear articulate note per note while i was soloing, also the power chords were punchy and clean sounding not muddy when you mormally play aggressive, the pickups were better than expected, thats the main thing i was concerned about but im very happy with ibanez's choice on the pickups, The hardware is exceptional especially the tuners, tone knobs has a extra rubber grib made into the the knob which is nice, oh yeah the bonus is the zero point tremolo, this is the same as used on the prestige models and it's so smooth on dive bombs, pull ups its very quiet, the fret work is great well rounded not sharp at all, neck is flat and string spacing is good, I liked the bobinga wood on the neck, its differnt from your normal necks, but adds to the wood finish of this guitar, like i mentioned earlier the pictures of this guitar on M.friend doesn't do this instrument any justice, the action was nice i lowered my action real low cause thats my preference, and i had no fret buzz at all, these are limited so if you want a custom guitar with a fraction of the price, I recommend this guitar, and there on sale!
