Radical cosmetics with the tone and action to back them up!
The Jackson Kelly KE-3 Electric Guitar has a unique body design and sharkfin inlays that make a bold statement with looks alone. But this rocker is a sonic flamethrower too. It features an ultrafast rosewood fretboard. A Duncan Designed DD103N pickup at the neck and a DD103B at the bridge give it ample sustain and tonal range. Its JT580LP tremolo lets you bend and twist notes to the max while staying in tune.
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!
- Unique body design

- Ultrafast rosewood fretboard

I played a Jackson KE-3 at a store in NY, just to check it out. Wicked shape, cool colors, wanted to see if it was actually worth the price, but not because of looks. I picked it up, played it for a little bit, put it down. Thought I would go check out other guitars while I was there. About a minute later, I picked it up again and started whippin out things in which I couldn't quite do on my guitar. The Harmonix and tone quality are superior, and the speeds you can reach are much faster. I could actually play better than I ever could before, and I had a broken arm at the time! With the pricerange this guitar was in, it slapped everythin else to hell! I went to NY looking for a guitar, checked out some $1000-$2000 guitars, and they didn't quite feel so good. This is a great Heavy Metal guitar, and it plays better than any Ibanez or BC rich, any ESP/LTD or Washburn. This guitar is an #$@ kicker that should be in the house of every heavy metal guitarist!!

Ok it?s a Jackson Kelly, oh wow. Some dumb metal head use?s this I gotta get one. Well just wait little child, if that?s the only reason your getting this beast then go for it. Yes the neck is thin, but that?s about it. It sounds like crap, you?ll have to replace the pick ups and the Floyd rose, get rid of those junk knobs cause there gonna get stripped (how I have no idea but they do) the body is sooo cheep that it?s not worth it. You would think a ?funky shaped? guitar would have a heavier quality to withstand the harshest of times. YEAH RIGH!! You better treat this baby like a piece of crystal. If you wanna ?weird looking guitar? then rock out jacksons are def. for you. Don?t buy this if you?re an ?actual? musician, if you want good tone, amazing sound, great quality, and a guitar that can withstand anything. You bets be going to get a Gibson. I was sponsored by Jackson for 4 years. Now I wont even take there stuff for free. Don?t waste your time

this guitar is one of the best guitars ive ever heard, excellent quality low feedback, very nicely built and also great to look at. if your a good guitar player with quite a bit of money to spend this is definatly a good choice.
This guitar is pretty nice.It has a pretty fast neck. My only problems with it are that the neck is a bolt-on, and at this price I would expect a set neck, and that there is only one volume knob for both pickups. The bolt-on really isn't anything big, it'd just be nice to have a set neck. On mine, I got an EMG-81/85 setup, and had the shop install two knobs for each pickup. If you can deal with the pickups and the one knob though, its a real nice guitar.
i like this guitar alot......except for two things, it doesn,t hug you like a strat so it can get pretty uncomfortable....and my floyde wont stay in tune , i think the knife edges are binding....i've tried everything else. i'll have to get a tremsetter for this sucker...no big deal i guess. other than that i love it.....sounds good plays great!
this guitar rocks, i got a great deal on one and it's now my main guitar due to the great sound it gives with overdrive and distortion. i would recommend it to all.
this ax really rocks. super fast action and unreal harmonics. The sustain goes on and on.every thing about this guitar screams
i found this guitar for cheap as old stock at a local guitar shop, so i thought i'd get it. even though metal isn't my style, it's great for everything i play. sounds really solid. the only complaints are i find it difficult/uncomfortable to play because i started on a strat. it's not quite balanced for me either, but i put up with it. also it's difficult to tune because it changes pitch slightly when you lock it down. sounds great palm-muted, nice high tones too. just overall nice guitar, but maybe a lil bulky!
I do not own this guitar but I have played it. This is a really nice guitar, the neck is slim and fast. This guitar is also balanced pretty well. Also the action on this guitar is pretty low making it easy to play. Overall its pretty nice.
Great guitar, best i have played in lower price guitar. Makes my solos the best ever!
I bought this guitar recently and I couldn't be more satisfied. I play guitar in a metal band and I needed the speed of a Jackson for my playing needs. This guitar makes it so easy to tremolo pick. When I first picked it up I was skeptical, but when I started getting fimiliar with its weight and neck action i was sold! Overall one of the best Jacksons.
I bought this guitar 5 months ago and I found it great. The one I bought came with Duncan Design Detonator Humbuckers thou, and I love not only the agressive sound but the jumbo frets. I`ve played lots of guitars and definately this is among the best guitars to play Metal music (specially speed metal)
