Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

First I should mention that I custom build my own high quality guitars using a reputable vendor. This was my first complete store bought electric guitar. I was very impressed by the finish, it is flawlessly perfect. The neck is very comfortable and plays very fast and effortlessly. The frets were dressed beautifully, and exceeded my expectations. I took a peek inside the tremolo, and control cavities, and both were very clean and well done. All the solder joints look clean and strong. The factory settings, like pickup and bridge height were in the ball park. The intonation was near perfect, and the truss rod adjustment and nut height are perfect. A nice surprise that is not listed in the specs. is that the volume has a push pull pot, and when you pull it up it splits or changes the pickups to parallel wiring, so you get that single coil sound. I like having that option, and I'm glad they incorporated it in the guitar. I love the quality construction of the graphite reinforced maple neck and center with the alder sides for the body. The first quality issue I found was that the middle allen bolt to the middle clamp for the D and G strings on the locking nut was stripped. The bolt was to short and didn't have enough threads on it. I almost packed it back up and sent it back right then and there. I expected more quality in hardware and quality control for what this guitar retails for. Luckily I had a bolt that was just long enough to fix the problem in my spare parts bin. Next, as I was tuning it up the high E string broke right at the string post! I couldn't even get any use out of the string set that came on the guitar. I restrung it with a new and different gauge set of strings that I use. That's when I found and tightened all the string post nuts, because they were all a quarter to half a turn loose. The last issue I found was with the the Floyed Rose high E lock down long allen screw at the back of the tremolo was bent. I removed it and lightly tapped it straight against a flat surface with a hammer. Soft metal leads me to believe this Floyed Rose was made in China. Other than that and with some TLC, I love this guitar, but almost sent it back.

Comments about Jackson KVMG Pro V King Electric Guitar:

It's a great guitar, but when I got it, I noticed a mistake in the beautiful ebony fretboard, and found out, it was on all the jackson pro series guitars with ebony fretboard. There are some grey shadows in the fretboard - and it looks pretty filthy. That annoys me a lot. But it's only a cosmetic thing, so it doesn't affect the playing or sound. But it is very annoying that Jackson messed that up.
