One of the best guitars for the price, put in a EMG 81 & 85 and you will not be let down.
Tone is always at 10, only 2 volume knobs.. which is no problem in metal guitar.
Feels great, not too heavy, like all V's it is top heavy, but with this guitar you can't complain.
This price feels like a steal.
I got the black and silver bevels guitar a few months back, and I just recieved the red with black bevels guitar yesterday. The pictures on this website do it no justice! Just like my black one....The guitar looks great right out of the box, the action is set low, and the sound of the EMG HMZ'S are incredible!!! The jackson/floyd bridge can take a hell of alot of abuse and stays in tune. The guitar is light in weight, with a awesome punch of sound!!!And you can get the cleanest of sounds from it as well. Like I said last time...you get the "Best of both world's " from this guitar, clean and clear, or loads and loads of musical muscle!!!For the money? WELL WORTH IT.
The two emg 81 and 60...man first i thought like wtf.. but when i picked this up.. my mind was blown away..THIS GUITAR IS MEANT FOR METAL ONLYThe low action plays perfectly, and the floyd rose stays in tune even if i abuse the it :PThe only down side is that mine came with a 9 gauge so i suggest you to replace it with a more heavier set of strings..i put a 11 gauge ernie balls on it and it sounds amazingI like the shark fin inlays too ahand the bolt on is no problem whatsoeverYOU CAN BARELY FEEL THE BOLT ON O:AHA and be warned that there is no tone cuz WHO NEEDS TONE IN METAL????!!
I bought this product USED from Musiciansfriend and it finally arrived yesterday. Right out of the box, this thing was ready to go. The only thing I really had to do was adjust the pickups. This guitar was meant to play fast. The neck and the fretboard work are incredible. Having come from using a ZW EMG set I can honestly say that the pick ups are a tad weak for me. Then again they are passive and EMGs are very easy to swap out. The Jackson Flyod on this guitar is fantastic and I've been abusing the crap out of it. Stays in tune 100%. I am starting to miss the tone controls though but as Phil says "Who uses tone controls in metal!?". This guitar is made for metal. Highly recommended this guitar for metal players like myself.
I have spent a lot of time searching for the perfect instrument that breathes metal. I was walking around Guitar Center with no intention of buying anything, but I stumbled across this. Demmel is my idol, so, of course, I plugged it in to a 6505. I started shredding around, and I figured that it must have EMG81s. Well, I looked down, and I saw that the pickups were passive! Not only that, but the Jackson Floyd played exactly like the original! Not one note out of tune, even if you detune! I could finally play all the hellacious riffs I play in dropped-c with no problem at all! I even managed to tune down to dropped-b down a half step to play some Sepultura, and even no fret buzz! If you're at the highest level of playing, you'll even consider this a gem. Just pick one up!
