Dark and dangerous.
The shape of the Jackson WRXT X Warrior Electric Guitar is both extreme and practical. Sculpted edges make it comfortable to play and the overall balance of the instrument is excellent. Alder body, maple bolt-on neck with rosewood compound-radius fingerboard, 24 frets, sharkfin inlays, and a 25-1/2" scale. 2 Duncan Designed Detonator humbucking pickups, and a JT580LP double-locking tremolo.
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

This guitar is simply fantastic, extremely high quality. The finish is a gloss black, with a very deep shine. None of the photos online do it justice. Silver hardware looks a touch odd, black would look nicer but that's such a minor point it's almost not worth mentioning. It feels very solid, is perfectly balanced and a good weight. The sustain on it is excellent, and the tone is good as well. It has a pretty good clean tone as well, I was pleasantly surprised with how clear and clean it sounds. The neck feels a little thicker than I'd expected compared to my other guitar (a dean vendetta), but it's very smooth to play.Because it's very well balanced, it's surprisingly comfortable to play. The large "spike" at the top rear of the body makes for a good arm rest when sitting, and overall the guitar stays very stable even when playing fast pieces. I was dreading the setup of this being my first floyd rose bridge guitar, but I had it tuned in about 20 minutes. The floyd rose website has a very helpful guide on how to set this up, and searching for floyd rose on wikipedia.com brings up a great diagram for beginners, so it was easy to figure out which screws did what. The volume knob was loose, and that and the tone knob had the locking screws showing on the top side. A couple of minutes with a screwdriver and I'd turned both knobs so the screws don't show when they're set at playing position, and they were tightened on there nicely. There's one downside to this guitar, and it's not made light of at any of the online retailers I've seen - Unless you have a very wide case, you will need the jackson warrior case. It simply does not fit in many regular size guitar cases as it's too wide/long. This guitar is definitely worth a look, it was pretty much the only instrument in it's price range that had all the features I was looking for.

I have owned this guitar for three years know and have waited this long to give my review. I am pleased with the overall look, feel, and playability of the warrior. It has never let me down and is still exotic enough to get the crowd's attention when they see this new and aggressive body style. I am in a christian metal band, and have taken it on the road for the past two years and still it holds up show after show. There is never any embarassment when I step on stage and wail away. It's a definite crowd pleaser, and guess what... you can even play it sitting down (like when in the studio), a must for long time guitar players that use it daily. So if you are looking for an affordable, dependable, cosmetic metal shredder, then the warrior is for you. Stand up with the warrior and thrash!

Great deal...right out of the box. The finish is wonderful (i bought the blue metalic). The only twikin' we did to it, was lower the bridge and tighten the volume knob. The Duncan pick-ups realy are very meaty, ideal for rythm and the response from the tone and volume knobs are great. The strings are even good, again ideal for rythm guitar. This insturment is a great buy and value for the beginer to the expert (as I have had 2 other great guitar players check it out). The only problem that we have found with this is DON'T get to radical (and I mean Radical) with the wammy bar, as it will drop ya a 1/2 to full note. We are still checking into that problem which I'm sure we will take care of. Best Guitar i've owned for the money!.
This guitar is one of the best on the X series line. For less than most of the other Jackson models, you get an awesome guitar loaded with the same features and more. It measures up with the best from many other companies. It has decent sound and distorts very well. The body and finish are excellent, very scratch resistant. The bridge is great, can compete with some of the Ibanez bridges. The neck is ultra fast and the inlays look sick. Stays in tune great and is my all time favorite. Definitely worth a try!
I just bought this guitar about two monthes ago. I tried out just about every guitar in the store and then some. I've always loved Jackson guitars and I saw the Warrior's cool shape and I had to get it. It is well worth the money. The fretboard is super fast and the pickups rule. I would prefer this over Gibson and fender and most other companies.
I played it on a Marshall amp, and I don't know if it was just the amp or just the guitar, but I fell in love with it. I usually don't like these small v-type guitars, but I really like this one. It is awesome for solos, so easy to move and picking even seemed easier.
If your style of music can be considered 'rockish,' don't be afraid to give Jackson a chance. Their guitars are top notch, and the Warrior is a great example of this. And by the looks of the ratings, the consumers are in agreeance with me. However, I've noticed the 'value' rating is a bit low, which I don't understand. It has a Jackson licenced Floyd Rose tremolo, Duncan Designed humbuckers, all chrome hardware, very fast neck, great-looking inlays, and an awesome body. It's well worth the cost. You won't be disappointed.
This guitar is a shredder. The Duncan pick-ups are a thing of beauty, and the double-locking tremolo is a masterpiece. But I was disappointed when I realized that the 3-way pickup switch didn't work on the back setting(bridge pickup), and the volume and tone knobs buzzed when I was adjusting them. and over the last few months I have been more and more turned off by the body. Believe me it is very balanced and light, but I just didn't like the shape anymore. I guess it's just my perspective, but before you by the guitar, make sure you like the radical design.
The jackson wrxt warrior is a very nice guitar cool looing shape features a tremolo and very nice pick ups...but with time of less than a year things got complicated this guitar features good and bad things but the sound is pretty decent just be aware to buy replacement within a year if you are really using your wrxt warrior and if you really love it
Great overall! Pickups are the best I've played on. Body is great, and has awesome balance. I recommend this guitar for the extreme metal guitarists out there!!! Awesome guitar!!!
This is a really nice playing guitar. I have had for a year and its still nice. If you use the whammy bar a lot, it goes out of tune sometime. I love the sound that comes out of it. A real good buy.
This guitar is the best guitar I own. I love the way it feels and sounds. This guitar is the only one that I own with a locking trem, so it was a little hard for me to figure out how to change a string, but other than that - it stays in tune and I have no complaints!
This axe rocks! For this price, wow what a deal. I never thought having the same pick-up in the neck & bridge would be so versatile, but it is. It has a very well balanced weight distribution for playing standing up & the X design still allows you to play sitting down for serious recording. The neck is fast (flat) & not rounded to much but a little, I've played on faster but this one is perfect for rhythm & leads. The only down side was all the adjustments I had to do to the bridge when I got it (30 min. worth) but thats because it's made in Japan & not custom shop (U.S.A.). Listen, it looks great, has over the top crisp & crunchy pick-ups, plays great standing or sitting, & it's a great price. If you want even better pick-ups & a neck thru design dig deep in your pocket, like I did on my other two, but this one is still some serious competition for them. Personally I'd pay list price for this one still yet, it's worth it TRUST me.
OK here it is. THIN neck & very easy to get to top frets due to body styling. Sharkfin inlays are layed out so visibility is excellent when playing standing up. The Jackson JT500 tremolo is the best re-designed Floyd Rose bridge I've seen yet. Easier to string, tune & a more comfortable feel when palm muted picking. The Detonator pickups are the real deal, less feedback, more crunch, and still play clean through string bends. They sound great with ANY of my effects pedals. Personaly I think this guitar is worth the list price Jackson recommends to sellers or maybe even a couple hundred more.
Guitar combines an amazing shape without losing its ease of play. A great guitar with a fantastic sound! If you don't have this guitar, you must get it!
Although I play in a hardcore punk band I just decided to get this guitar on a whim. I am glad I did. I personally think it has great sound and plays very easily. I tune down to B and had to adjust the bridge accordingly and use low-tune strings and it still plays perfectly, with great action. I got the molded case for it as well and it fits perfectly snug. I've had it for 6 months and haven't had a problem. It's a fun guitar to play and I'd highly recommend it. I got the transparent blue finish and it looks sweet.
I owned it while being in US last summer. I should say that this guitar is best in its class. Features: great power sound, convenient fret board for playing not only heavy riffs but also speed solos. The only thing that you can do to upgrate this guitar is to get Semour Duncan SH-8 INVADER pickup.
I just bought this guitar because i tested it in a local Music Store and I was very surprised how great this guitar is! Great Metal Sound - warm and straight clean Sound!! Its perfect for nearly every kind of Music - Metal of course!! The design of the guitar is kickin B.C. Richs a** and dominates the Warlock Design (i owned one). Great guitar for metal-players and shred-maniacs!! Rock on!!
I tried this evil looking guitar just seeing what a jackson felt like and straight away got to grips with its top quality feeling fretboard and very impressive sound. It suits the type of music i play and is comfortable, everything i would want from a guitar this radical!
The warrior is a really nice guitar for the serious rocker.
I love this guitar, it's rocking shape is backed up with its slamming sonics. It's just an all-around kick*** guitar.
I was at guitar center a couple of days ago, and I tried this guitar out. I was pretty impressed with everything; It had good sounds it was solidly built and wasnt very expensive. I couldn't put it down the whole time I was there.
