Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

For an entry level guitar, these Jasmines are really hard to beat. My students love them. I always buy one for my students who are just learning acoustic guitar. The sound great and are easy to play.

Surprising quality and playability.

Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

As other reviewers have stated: this is lot of guitar for the money. I did adjust the truss rod, sand the saddle and change the strings and it plays beautifully with good tone, but it was definitely playable right out of the box with good intonation. Fit and finish are quite nice and it is amazing that MF sells them at this this price. I am very satisfied with this guitar.

Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

Bought this S34C Jasmine for my 13 year old grandchild
as a gift, installed elixir x-lite polyweb that I ordered also. His
first guitar and trying to make it easy on the fingers. Tuned the S34C
and wow! Could not believe the feel and sound of this guitar not
to mention the ease of playability. The lite satin finish gave it a
wonderful sound and look. Fit and finish unbelievable for a guitar
in this price range. It fit like a glove when playing. No wonder a
lots of reviews on you tube say this is the best buy for the money.

Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

As other reviewers have stated this guitar comes needing a bit of work to make it nice. The finish is rough but with some elbow grease and extra fine wet or dry sandpaper it smooths out into a nice satiny finish. Some minor setup work and some fingerboard oil combined with a set of fresh strings yields a very playable, nice sounding guitar. It is a grand orchestra size, which is similar to dreadnaught with a slimmer waist, so its not small, but it is very comfortable to hold. Great sound fingerpicked. A solid good deal.

Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

Yeah, the body material is not the best, nato neck and sapele body but it sounds really good. it compares nicely to my Breedlove. The orchestra style body feels great and the 1.75 inch neck is perfect for finger style ala Antione DuFour or Andy McKey. Well balanced and has a nice bottom end. for the price you really can't go wrong.

Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

I own both the dreadnaught and the cutaway by Jasmine. Of the two, this is the better experience. All I did, was have the guitar serviced to adjust the tension, clean the frets, and change the strings to MARTIN CUSTOM LIGHT.11 This guitar plays like a dream. I own 17 guitars, this is a go to when I want sit and just play. For the money, you can get less but you can't get more.

Get the guitar set up and you'll not believe the results.

Comments about Jasmine S-34C Cutaway Acoustic Guitar:

Long story short: really nice guitar after a small amount of work, would NOT recommend high-tension medium strings, go light.

First impressions when opening the box: super light, good feel, strings need immediate replacement (don't know if they hang out in a warehouse for a few years before getting shipped, but they were corroded beyond belief) and the action was terrible.

I spent a total of 20 minutes and it's now a really nice guitar! Put a capo on the 1st fret, unwound things enough to pull the pegs and set the strings aside. Then pulled out the saddle (don't be shy newbies, it's not a $5000 martin, learn the instrument!). Sure enough, there was a spacer down there. Pulled that out and tried again, but it was still too high for my taste. So I sanded the saddle down a few millimeters and voila, much much better.

The only new strings I had on hand were elixer phosphor bronze mediums that I use on my Guild f50 (beast of a guitar), so I decided to give them a shot. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HIGH TENSION OF A STRING ON THIS GUITAR! The pegs don't really sit down and I was pretty nervous about the tension on the neck. Ordered some Martin lights and unwound things a bit.

Nice smooth gears on the tuning pegs. Great quality all around.

I removed a factory installed shim under the saddle, and loosened the truss 1/2 turn, now the action is great. I also replaced the strings right away.
