It's a no-brainer for someone looking for substantial features and shopping on a budget.
Mahogony neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard and bridge? For this price? Enough said, but to expand on that just a little, it's a fantastic price. I bought mine a few years back and have been mostly satisfied. The only feature that was lacking was that I was getting some buzz and rattle from the tuning machines. Replaced them with locking Gotohs and it made it sound ten times better.
Rings like a bell, good sustain, and nice low action for an acoustic guitar. Loud enough that finger picking in a small room without a mic is possible, making it quite versitle.
I'll probably replace the nut and saddle with bone at some point, but right out of the box it's as good as it gets for this price. Better than most I've seen in over 20 years of playing.

Edges of the frets were sharp and needed filing down. All minor problems. If you want a great sounding acoustic for next to nothing you can't do better than this guitar!
I didn't go in expecting much, just a cheap acoustic to squeak on but wow! For the money you can't beat it. Awesome sound.

I bought one of these as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. It is well worth the money, however, to make it easier to play, I had to lower the action by about an eighth of an inch. Requires extra-light guage strings. Anything heavier gives too much tension and bowing.

I'm just beginning to learn to play the guitar and got a cheap electric that I wasn't very happy with. So I thought I'd try my luck with acoustic and then found this guitar. What struck me first was the shape. I love the big, round body of the guitar and it's even better when you unwrap it. The sound it produces is wonderful. Now I'm not a pro on what guitars sound like, but to me this guitar's sound is awesome. It's a very clear and yet powerful sound that is quite beautiful to listen to and play. For such a big guitar it's very lightweight and portable and put together well. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this purchase and very excited to start learning the guitar so I can put it to the test. The only knock I would have against it is that I had to tune it when I got it, but that took all of about 2 minutes with an app I found on iTunes for free. Other than that, I would say that this is a great place for a beginner to look because me being one myself, it was worth the price I paid.

In this price range it's a winner, you can't go wrong!
I bought this guitar for my daughter who is heading off to college as a music Ed major. I figured it was the right price and a durable guitar being that it's laminate. The action and the sound were great right out of the box. NO issues at all with the frets. This guitar will be around past college I'm sure.
At this price level it can't be beat.
If I did have so many of my own guitars I would have bought an extra of myself!

Beginner or experienced, this is a great guitar. How Jasmines are not more expensive or more "well-known" is no idea to me. I now have a new respect for them. It blows the $99 Fender, Rouge and Epiphone out of the water (By experience and opinion of course.) This guitar should be well above it's average price range. I have zero complaints. For anyone who has read my review and is thinking of purchasing this. I say. . . GO FOR IT!
The finish is just gorgeous. The strings aren't to bad (I give it 'bout a month then I'll replace them). Body work is great. I can't even find a word for the sound =)
A few dents, nothing noticeable unless you are seriously looking. but I think it came from the shipping it went through. The shipping box had a golf-ball sized hole in it sooooo...I don't know. It Sounds just...just..Heavenly ! It is so crisp and clean. I love it !
You CANNOT get a better deal for a better price. I bought this while it was on sale for $99. So I am pretty happy

Unfortuntely i am 0-2 for this guitar. The fret wire is cut too long and scraps my hand as it slides up/down the neck. & the nut slots r cut so low that it leaves the strings pancked out and unplayable so i had to do the only option & raise the strings via trussrod so high that is was dumb. something you'd not want from a brand new guitar outta the box. So...the woodwork< awesome!! and i own a different model of jasmine that i've had for 18 years and is awesome!

I have not been any more satisfied standing in a store and trying new guitars.
I purchased this guitar for a gift for my Grandson. He wants to learn to play and I of course want him to have something of good quality to learn on. When it came to the house, very quickly with standard shipping, I tuned it up and was surprized by the way it plays. Excellent sound and nice to play. An excellent deal at the regular price. Unbelievable at a sale price.
