Kramer

A trem guitar loaded with all the goods a serious rocker needs.

A plethora of great tones are generated by the Kramer Striker 211 guitar's Alnico V bridge humbucker and dual single-coil pickups in the middle and neck. Controls include a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way selector. The volume features what Kramer calls a "treble bleed" mod, which keeps your tone bright when backing down the volume control.

The Kramer Striker 211 Custom electric guitar features a double-cutaway mahogany body with a beautiful flamed maple top. A bolt-on maple neck has a thin-tapered profile that makes playing effortless. The Kramer guitar's 24-fret maple fingerboard sports thorn-shaped position inlays. A recessed double-locking Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo bridge system won't get in your way and will keep you in tune no matter how aggressively you play.

In the mid-1970s, when Kramer guitars began, they were exclusively producing aluminum necked guitars. In 1982, Kramer cemented an exclusive distribution deal with Floyd Rose. Kramer guitars were also loaded with additional features like Schaller tuners and Seymour Duncan pickups. With the endorsement of Eddie Van Halen, Kramer became the world's best selling guitar in the mid-80s. The Gibson Guitar Company acquired the revered Kramer brand and has reissued many of the historic Kramer guitars and introduced modern design innovations as well. Kramer players include a who's who of rock guitarists with Eddie Van Halen, Ritchie Sambora, Mick Mars, & Vivian Campbell among them.

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

Bought this guitar for my 13yr old and I think I'm playing more with it. The guitar is very well made, real straight neck, no adjusting required, plays effortlessly and stays in tune amazingly no matter how much you use he trem. Amazing squealies and harmonics can be created anywhere on the neck. The double humbuckers at the brigde sound awesome and the singles are not bad at all. The trem real easy to adjust. THe best part is the low action once adjusted with no fret buzz. For the price, you will not be dissapointed. Oh, and I forgot to mention the great service from musciansfriend, guitar was nicely packed and came in 4 days to Canada from US, amazing. Going to buy again for sure. Gotta go, off to jam on the Kramer.

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because the brand sounded like "legendary" to me. Then I saw this one at a good price plus the black friday discount.
However, the disapointment came later, when I received the guitar it looked fine, but later I found a poor quality in the overall, and specifically in the Licensed Floyd Rose, it just does not work, strings keep going out of tune and screws for fine tuning don't move smoothly, some of them move almost all the way up and down and some others only move a couple of turns before getting stuck.

      Fun Guitar!

      By Philly-Yo

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

I have been playing my Striker 211 Custom for a few weeks now. It is a fun guitar to play for anyone interested in 80's style rock. The guitar plays very fast and looks great. Be prepared to put some money into new pickups. I had replace the factory humbucker and will be replacing the single coils shortly. Other than the pickups, this is a great guitar. I am very happy with my choice to buy a Kramer.

      ALRIGHT!

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

dude, i love this guitar. works awesome and stays in-tune with the floyd-rose thing. i played the transparent purple one at a local guitar store and loved it so much that i am definitely going to buy one. and a purple one, too, because the purple finish is absolutely stunning in person. very versatile guitar. i know it's more aimed at metal players, but this works fine for indie rock, lo-fi, post-rock and a lot of other non-hard-core genres. will definitely be my next guitar.

I got this guitar for Chrismas and as soon as i held is i was blown away! I usualy like guitar with a rosewood fingerboord but in this case the guitar couldn't be better, i got the trancparent black body graphic and i have to say it looks, Amazing! If your looking for a guitar for Hard Rock and Heavy Metal in the price range of 300-400 than this is the best choice!

      Great Axe!

      By Anonymous

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

My guitar is trans-black and bought via Thomann, 279 e. The quality of finish is very nice and setup nearly perfect, the nut is on perfect level and so does bridge as well, only minor adjusting with the bridge height was necessary. No fret buzz. Finger board is very flat and wide, neck profile d-shape, almost like classical guitars. Guitar itself is quite heavy and gives very good sustain. Bridge pickup is surprisingly ballsy, i thought that i have atleast change that one but i'm very happy about it so i let him stay ( i have guitars with dimarzios but this one make the job well too). Single coils take you back to the Hendrix time.Licensed Floyd works as well as it should be; nice and smooth and keeps tune very well , no major differences to my Schaller Floyd II.Owerall: Goodlooking and well made guitar with nice pickups and low price.

      Great Guitar for the price!

      By Dan the Man.

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

Short and sweet review. Out of the box, the finish is flawless, Hardware is tight nothing feels loose. Guitar has some weight to it. It was set up 95% just right, just some tuning needed. Quality & materials are better than my Ibanez RG. No Manual comes with the Guitar, but no real biggie. Some Fret buzz. Stock Pick Ups have plenty of power to them. Overall it's better than I expected for the price.

not bad for this price range

      By RB-4EEEK

Comments about Kramer Striker 211 Custom Electric Guitar:

i had originally planned on getting a Jackson or Charvel, but wasn't ready to drop a grand or more on a guitar any time soon. after looking at the Kramers online, i decided to take a chance. for this price range, i wasn't expecting much. i just hoped it wouldn't be a complete waste of money. my main concern was that it had a decent neck,,,all else can be worked with. i ordered the transparent black model. out of the box it was a nice looking guitar. it had a few minor setup issues. i had to level the bridge and lower it to lower the action. it had NO fret buzz or other problems. the neck is sort of a flat D shape,,,wider than a strat but flatter,,,similar to a Jackson.i will probably replace the pickups with Duncans, but the stock ones aren't that bad for the time being. one problem is the volume knob - from 0-1 it's like an on/off switch, then from 1-10 it has little to no effect. it may be because of the volume bleed mod mentioned on the Kramer web site. i plan to fix that so that a volume swell will be possible. the licensed Floyd Rose stays in tune better than i expected. i've played this guitar for a few weeks now, and i'm having a blast with it. after all is said and done, i think this guitar was a good find for me. it met and maybe even exceeded my expectations. i would definately recommend this guitar for anyone who wanted a Floyd Rose equipped machine, but didn't have a pile of cash to drop on a high end instrument.
