An axe designed to shred - with an awesome look.

Designed, assembled, and hot-rodded in Southern California, the LE924 electric guitar has pro-level features for the new breed of guitar hero. The offset double-cutaway, Louisiana swamp ash body, one-piece maple neck, flat-radius fretboard, and high-output DiMarzio pickups make this Laguna guitar ultra-responsive and a pleasure to play. The Laguna double-locking trem provides the tuning stability needed for aggressive whammy bar action. The AAA maple top with "Awesome Orange" finish caps off the distinctive look of an axe for a discerning player. Case sold separately.

'What can I say, it's pretty much everything I could ask for in a guitar. "—Greg Howe (solo artist; hard rock, shred, jazz-fusion virtuoso; and touring guitarist with Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake)

LAGUNA GUITARS "ONE GUITAR, ONE TREE" REFORESTATION INITIATIVE

Laguna Guitars, reflecting the passionate convictions of musicians, celebrates Earth Day by launching their new "One Guitar, One Tree" reforestation initiative. This plan involves planting one tree for every Laguna guitar made. In addition, Laguna continues to deepen its other practical efforts to reduce waste, recycle and conserve the planet's resources.

For decades, musicians have proudly been socially aware and urged others to take more action, advocacy, and awareness in environmental matters. As musicians themselves, those at Laguna have always passionately supported that position, knowing that trees are an economical, long-term solution to many tough environmental problems, including air and water pollution, climate change, wildlife protection, habitat restoration, and more. In partnership with AmericanForests.org and their Global Relief campaign, Laguna proudly plants a tree for each Laguna guitar made.

In addition, Laguna's shipping cartons are designed to provide maximum protection with a minimum of material. Their boxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard that is also 100% recyclable, which they naturally encourage wherever possible. Also, in the interests of conservation, they have decided not to print glossy, heavyweight catalogs as millions from various companies end up in landfills every year. Instead, Laguna provides extensive information online at their website (www.playlaguna.com) and a catalog will soon be available as downloadable PDF's, allowing users to print only those pages they want.

As with the design and manufacture of their guitars, Laguna welcomes an open dialogue with musicians and encourages them to share their thoughts and ideas on environmental matters including Laguna's "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and other earth-friendly plans. All such feedback can be directed to environment@playlaguna.com. Please visit PlayLaguna.com or AmericanForests.org for more information on the "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and Global Relief campaign.

About Me Experienced

Pros

Comments about Laguna LE924 Electric Guitar:

I purchased an injured LE924 at a discount. I build my own guitars and fix lots of axes, so this was an easy choice for me. The pickups are spectacular (Custom Dimarzio! DUH!) and the wiring and switching is creative and solid. Lots of great tones and versatility in this axe. (What would you expect from Greg Howe) The Floyd is a quality piece as are the tuners and the other electronics. You will struggle to get better sounds out of an "off the shelf" guitar for under a grand.
The fret ends were not perfect, and there was an ever so slight twist to the neck. I am currently making some adjustments to the neck, (installing stainless frets, making the headstock match the body, etc) but when they are done, I see this being up toward the top of my arsenal.
The body is solid with a great feel. A really nice piece of swamp ash and lots of little details you would expect from an upper end guitar.
Other than needing a fret polish and fret ends cleaned up a bit, this guitar is really nice. (O.K. So the headstock has been nick-named the deformed shark,) but the guitar is really a good and fresh new competitor to the quagmire of cookie cutters out there. Much like Maragold is a breath of fresh air to the current state of rock and roll.

Comments about Laguna LE924 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is unbelievable. The humbuckers sound great and the single coil split sounds equally crisp. I use each pickup on this guitar, which is a first for me. The only complaint I have is that the Floyd (licensed) doesn't hold tune very well, but maybe that's just mine. I'm experimenting with various things to overcome this.
The sound is just so good.

      Not for Me

      By Strato_B

Comments about Laguna LE924 Electric Guitar:

      Not for me
I sent this back because I focus mainly on recording and getting good organic sounds. I thought I was going to have the ability to get some full / funky and smooth solo sounds with this guitar.
I found this guitar to produce basically the same type of sound ALL the time. Aggressive. I was not able to reproduce noticeable subtle nuances. Play hard play soft the recorded signal seems to be the same. Aggressive. With that said, if you want to rock hard all the time then this guitar might be for you.
Build seems very good other than I believe I might have received one that the neck was not completely dressed. The edges of frets hung over the side of the neck and this was noticeable when playing.
This guitar does not come with a case and that is unfortunate because it seems that "If had received a pristine one" It would warrant one because I think they are on to something with the design.

      Great Guitar

      By Twangification

      from Kansas City

Comments about Laguna LE924 Electric Guitar:

I played one of these at a local store today. GREAT guitar - it has a unique timbre, very fast speaking and snappy. Plays perfect stock. The electronics are great on this guitar - all the basic colors of guitar in an easy to use switch. KILLER guitar - I could see this being anyone's workhorse who can live with the shredder styling and bridge type.

      Great axe!

Comments about Laguna LE924 Electric Guitar:

You can't buy a better axe for the money. The pups on this baby scream bloody murder, yet they're quiet when you're not playing. The neck is ultra-comfortable and built for speed. Great tight response on the lower notes even when you hit your distortion stomp box. All I ever use is my Fulltone II. I switch out between my Dr. Z w/Alnico blues and Marshall w/ G12-25s greenbacks and the lower notes never get mushy. One of the best features: this guitar STAYS IN TUNE!! I use the vibrato bar quite a bit and this guitar simply won't untune. I may have to "fine-tune" slightly after a couple of sets, but if I don't slam the whammy it stays in tune all night. I own several pricey custom Strats and Gibson LPs. This guitar is now my main gig guitar (the array of sounds is great: Strat/Firebird/LPaul. Laguna did well in collaborating with with Greg Howe. Take this baby for a test-drive. I guarantee, you'll take her home with you! Only downside - case is not included.
