Comments about Luna Guitars Flora Series Lotus Grand Auditorium Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I was actually shopping for my husband when I laid eyes on this beauty. I must have gone back a dozen times and looked at it (on the wall in my local shop.) However I don't play an instrument other than singing... but he saw me looking at it one day and bought it for me as a surprise. I loved it so much I actually cried right there in the store!
It's so beautiful, a deep reddish pink with a little purple, abalone lotus and phases of the moon on the neck. I realize the beauty of an instrument should not ever come first - but it also sounds amazing, deep and rich and lovely. I am now taking lessons after my husband's and loving every minute of it. I would have always thought about it, but never taken the plunge if I had never seen this beautiful piece of art, hanging on the wall, calling to me. I'm sure someday I'll 'graduate' to other guitars, but this one will always be my first love.
I will say that I'm left handed and this guitar only comes right-oriented, but as I'd never played before, the teacher got me started learning right instead, and I have petite hands and fingers and found the body of the guitar a little big and awkward to reach over.
Guy or girl, if you like beautiful things, give Luna guitars a chance. You'll be inspired looking at it every time you sit down to play, I know I find myself practicing more than I would normally because I see it sitting there and am drawn to pick it up for an extra 10 minutes here and there!
