Comments about Luna Guitars Muse Safari Series Mahogany 3/4 Dreadnought Travel Acoustic Guitar:
Its actually the size as a regular 1/2 guitar. I would just get the full travel size f you want something smaller but not too small... Regardless I love this little guy! Very bright and sounds great! I bought it for an intro to guitar class in college and its size is perfect for me to lug all over campus and keep in my dorm room. I have smaller hands so this is a good fit :)
Pros
- Excellent build quality
- Full Sound
- Fun To Play
- Good Feel
- Light
- Stays In Tune
Cons
- A Little Too Small

Comments about Luna Guitars Muse Safari Series Mahogany 3/4 Dreadnought Travel Acoustic Guitar:
I bought this Luna because I wanted a travel guitar.
It sounds great, very bright and very full for a guitar of this size. It's great to just settle down on the couch and play.
Looks nice, built well. Very good value for an instrument of this price-range. I have already purchased another Luna because of this one's excellent sound and build.
The gigbag it comes with is pretty to look at, but is entirely non-protecting. That's fine, I use it for a travel guitar, not on stage.
Comments about Luna Guitars Muse Safari Series Mahogany 3/4 Dreadnought Travel Acoustic Guitar:
This is half the cost of the comparable Martins & Taylors, with really no compromise... A great deal for a great little guitar
I've owned Baby Taylors, Ovation & other 3/4 size guitars & I've played the little Martins too... - I was going to save up for a Taylor GS Mini, but now I don't need to.... The Baby Taylor was nice, but I had trouble keeping it in tune when I fretted a little hard or played hard - I needed to play very gently to retain proper tuning - The GS Mini solves this problem, you can dig in a little more, but at $500, it's a stretch - This little Luna is a very well-made guitar, nice frets, fit & finish are first rate - The neck is really comfortable - I did tweak the truss rod about a half-turn to imptove the action - That's all, no work needed on the saddle or nut - It plays in tune & is a really beautiful little guitar - The moon-phase inlays on the freatboard are a nice touch - Mahogany laminate, sounds like a parlor guitar, with more body & Bass than I expected to hear - A very pleasing tone overall. I'm using this as a back-up gig guitar, and hi-strung for a ukelele-type thing. A Seymour Duncan Maverick is the only pick-up that fits in the soundhole, but it sounds great and serves my purposes perfectly - The gigbag is useless, but you can buy a better one for $25... for a $139 guitar, it's a steal... buy it before they double the price.
Comments about Luna Guitars Muse Safari Series Mahogany 3/4 Dreadnought Travel Acoustic Guitar:
After taking delivery on the Luna Muse Safari Series Mahogany 3/4 Dreadnought Travel Acoustic Guitar, it became evident that this one needs a setup. The action is high and the intonation is off. It was shipped in extreme heat. However, I'm sure it will be fine after a visit to my guitar technician. I do like the tone, which is warm, articulate, sweet, and I expect it will improve over time. The body is relatively small and shallow, but the projection is bright enough. The guitar seems to be well crafted overall, especially considering the reasonable price, and the design has visual appeal. It came with a nice little canvas gig bag, and also a truss rod wrench, but I don't have the expertise needed to make fine adjustments. Even after the setup, I expect a little muscle will be needed to play barre chords up the neck. I use a pick most of the time, but the instrument is suitable for finger picking. I chose the mahogany top because I enjoy collecting instruments with a variety of tones. I also have a Samich Greg Bennett Design travel-size spruce top guitar, and the Luna Muse Safari, which is in the same price range, compares very well. My general impression is that the Luna Muse Safari will be a charming addition to my collection.
