Luna Trinity 12 String

Features:

I had looked at the Luna website and read all of the reviews from other folks that had purchased the guitar. I wasn't ready for the response I had whan I got the guitar. It is AMAZING. It has a neck that is the most comfortable I have played on a 12 string! ( I have owned 4 other 12 strings and most had clunky necks). The workmanship is absolutely beautiful. The inlays around the soundholes and on the neck are perfect and the finish is flawless. The built in tuner is great - have you ever had to tune a 12 string? I have not plugged the guitar into an amp but the sound of the guitar acoustically is super! Not boomy like some 12 strings but very balanced. The other nice thing is the battery for the preamp is accessible without taking the strings off. Its built into the guitar at the plug in area.

Quality:

Overall quality is great!!

Value:

Value for the money is terriffic - I am amazed at the quality for the price

Overall:

The guitar is well worth the money. The neck is really comfortable, the finish perfect, and playability is amazing. The tuner is excellent and having the battery accessible a real nice touch - I just finished changing batteries on 2 other guitars I own by removing strings to get to the battery - not fun

Luna TR1-12

Features:

From the option of either 1/4", high impedance output, or XLR low Impedance, to the B-Band pick-up and E.Q. with tuner, to the stainless tuners with the black buttons, this 12 string is first rate.  I pulled it out of the box and tuned it up, and was right at home with it.  The neck was just right for me-thick, but not too very wide.  the sound, which I thought might be somewhat muted by the sound hole pattern(silly Me!!) is full and clear, the finish is beautifully polished, and free of imperfections.  I am very well pleased.

Quality:

I have had many guitars in the last 50 years of playing.  I have had 12 strings from most of the major manufacturers, both acoustic and electric.  The Luna is right up there with the best of them.  Especially for the money, this is a good deal.  I have had guitars which cost much more, and did not deliver any better quality of sound, appearance, or feel.

Value:

Well worth the price.  I really enjoy playing a good, responsive 12 string guitar.  The last new 12 string I bought cost me a lot-on sale, and marked down as last-year's model.  The Luna is every bit as enjoyable to play, and seems to be just as well built and designed.

Overall:

When I first took this guitar out of the box, I remember thinking "wow, that's a lot smaller than I thought it would be!"  The sound and feel of the guitar belied my first impression, and now I see how perfectly proportioned this fine instrument is.  Definitely a first-quality instrument.

Overall I've been happy with it. I have had it 7 months and it sounds amazing and the tuner is spot on. It has a nice bright noise if that's what you are looking for. It's a very delicate guitar every once in awhile I have to put it in a new resting position to bend the neck back. It's fun to play around the campfire with friends. If you are planning to plug in and record you will definitely need a source of volume (such as an amp). I have only used the strings that came with it. Overall I would recommend this guitar. It's fun and well worth the money.

I've had mine two weeks now. Had it set up by my guy with 9's and tune it to standard. Very true intonation, sweet chimey highs and a balanced sound. If you''ve heard and get the saying, "two ways to tune a 12-string: close and not at all" you will appreciate as I do the best thing: it stays in tune - true when I capo and remove capo - and even when I do tune (I'm obsessive about this) the onboard tuner works great. The pickup  system was pronounced "pretty decent" by my luthier. I'd say if you're looking for that booming dread-sized tone, keep shopping for larger body. If you want to play plugged in and buy a gig-worthy 12-string, Luna Trinity is excellent value, solid features - and rosewood/spruce!
