Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 10 Cutaway Nylon String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Beutiful guitar. great sound and feel. the neck is narrow. I like that. the cutaway design is very ergonomical. Due to the transducer its a very microphonic guitar. It picks up your shirt sleeve rubbing against it.

Caballero 10 Cutaway

By Roger Bennett

from Illinois

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 10 Cutaway Nylon String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Nice guitar, good construction, choice pieces of wood (rosewood, cedar and mahogany), great finish a very good looking instrument.

I like the bone nut and saddle. Fishman electronics - pickups are ok - I don't quite get the sound I was expecting when played through an amp. Playability right of the box was good, although the smaller neck width (than most other classical guitars) takes some getting used to. Action is good. The guitar was set up well. Sounds great unplugged.

My only disappointment is that I thought I was buying a Spanish made Rodriguez guitar. It turns out the guitar is designed by Rodriguez but it is made in China. I have heard of some bad quality guitars coming from China but the workmanship on this one is very good.

Manual rodriguez Caballero nylon sting guitar cutaway

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 10 Cutaway Nylon String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am very happy with this guitar, i have set the action to 1/16 at the 12th fret and lowered the action at the nut, i get no buzz even when i play it with out the amp. The tone is huge with the strings that came with it, I really like the electric feeling neck, It is some what fat with closer string spacing than most classicals, the tuners work they whey they should, the pickup really reproduses the true classic sound with good balance of volume. I am a big fan of the Cedar to over the spruce, it is very rich sounding, sometimes i can't belive how good the tone and play ability is. Musicians Freind, is the place to by musical instruments, no hasel, easy return policy, very polite staff. A+
This guitar does not come with a baggs system, it has a fishman that works very well, I give it a 9 for sound, play ability, quality.looks
The quality of this guitar is out standing, great fret work, very nice finish, adjustable truss rod great tuners, and pickup system. Light wheight.
I have tried a few other guitars like the ibanez and yamaha, the tone , volume, ease of playing Oof this guitar more like a $1000 guitar.

A bit overpriced for the quality

By Andrew Hall

from California

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 10 Cutaway Nylon String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Wanted sound of nylon/classical instrument with narrower neck since I am acoustic steel string player. Negatives: Sound was very thin, no depth. G string buzzed. The frets overextended/stuck out slightly over the neck. Positives: very easy playability in regard to narrow neck(almost too narrow) and nice action. Aesthetically nice appearance. Probably good choice for youngster wanting to learn classical guitar. Overall, I think it is worth about a little less.

Impressive sound and build

By WannaBossa

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 10 Cutaway Nylon String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I just want to comment on how great this guitar sounds and mention the neck. I also own a Breedlove nylon string with exactly the same pickup and preamp system and have a Godin Multiac nylon, which is great for the synth access. But neither of these guitars sound as good as the Caballero 10. It must be the bracing or construction, but this Rodriguez has a more powerful sound, whether it's played acoustically or running through an amp. The bass notes ring like a bass guitar and the high notes are very dynamic.

About the neck, it's narrow and is designed for electric players who want to play nylon too. It plays like a Fender and would also be perfect for smaller hands. Classical guitarists will find the neck to be too narrow, but everyone else should give this a try.
