I am not a big fan of the Stratabond neck. i know it is 25% stronger than mahogany, but I still do not like its feel. The rest of the guitar is a delight. i can not find another guitar that I really like in this style compared to the Martin. I just wished that the $$ got me a gloss top model, like the D-16GT. So that is what I bought a different guitar but it fingerpicks really well and sounds great.
I tried this i a local music shop a while back and compared it to several other guitars and this one is the best playing best sounding of the whole lot. Some of the others costed a few hundred more but this come with a case which is a great addition. It has a great full sound with a low soft feel to the wide fretboard. It's comfortable for big and small framed people. I can't wait until i can go back and get mine. Martin has done it again but this time it's more affordable and as good as ever. Noone can go wrong with a Martin.
