A sweet deal

Comments about Mitchell MO100SPK Folk Acoustic Guitar Pack:

This guitar came in perfect condition, the neck was straight, and accessories complete. It even come with a nice tuner. I used a sonic enhancer in the sound port, I happened to have one I wanted to try.
The result was a crystal clear sound that was very pleasing to the ears.I think that for the money, this is one of the better deals you can do. even better, Ibought it on sale with Musicians Friend

Good starter

Comments about Mitchell MO100SPK Folk Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I purchased guitar for my daughter who is just starting out. I've played it many hours in the last few weeks, it stays tuned well, has a nice bright tone and projects well too. My hands are smaller than average and I personally found the action to be a bit high and the neck a little thicker than I'd prefer, which is subjective.Overall for a "low cost" instrument it looks, plays and sounds pretty good. The tuner works well. The strap requires installing another peg, the guitar only has one on the bottom. If you plan on haulin' it around much the carry case will not protect well. The instructional lessons by Steven Krenz are really top notch!! If you go to the web sight listed on the included DVD you can down load Gibsons learn & master guitar 109 page lesson plan that will teach you just about everything you need to now. THAT is most definitely worth the money.

Pretty Good

Comments about Mitchell MO100SPK Folk Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I'm a beginner and had a cheap guitar that was almost always out of tune and bad quality. Someone suggested that I start off with this pack. I tried it, got it and it's good - comfortable and sounds great (the price I liked alot). My only complaint was where to put the strap.

Comments about Mitchell MO100SPK Folk Acoustic Guitar Pack:

I recieved this package for Christmas. I decided to give guitar another try after having failed 20 years ago as a teen. This guitar was picked for my by two studio musicians. After having recieved it, I took it to the local guitar store make sure I was tuning it properly. They were very impressed by the sound and playability. It also looks very nice. A GREAT VALUE!

Better than most

Comments about Mitchell MO100SPK Folk Acoustic Guitar Pack:

This guitar pack was gifted to me for Christmas instead of a (cheaper) Yamaha classical package that I had requested. I was disappointed at first, mostly because it wasn't exactly what I had asked for. (I have since been given a $1200 Takamine classical, so there you are) Apart from being an obviously cheaply made guitar, it actually plays, looks, and sounds better than higher priced Ibanez and Epiphone guitars. Finger picking qualities are exceptional, as are the regular picking. It has a very bassy tone, especially on strummed chords. That, however, does not distract from its overall great sound.I really like the back of the guitar. It has an attractive joint where the halves meet, and the mahogany looks good. Most importantly, unlike a cookie-cutter dreadnought, the place where the neck meets the body curves slightly inward. This makes the guitar much more comfortable to play, as there isn't an edge sticking into the ribs. The pickguard on this guitar is entirely unnecessary. It has no decoration, and is of the simple black, stick-on variety. I peeled mine off within two days of possession. This leaves a residue that can easily be removed with a patient thumb nail, over about an hour to get it completely off.Other than that, I wish that Mitchell would make their pins cream colored, as opposed to black, which matches nothing but the pickguard (now removed). Also, the gig bad is more of just a polyester guitar shaped thing. Not much use at all.Stays in tune well.
