A real deal for the money

Features:

Right out of the box this guitar grabs your eye with it's ruby red top and bright inlay .It was more then I expected from a guitar at this price. What a value! It's slender neck and smooth action made It a dream to play. The controls and the on board tuner are convenient and easy to use. Like all Ovation's  with there signature rounded back, If your going to sit down and play use a strap or It just might slid off your lap.

Quality:

This is the second Ovation guitar that I have perched  and I have found that they take pride in there work, This one is easy to look at, easy to play, well built instrument.

Value:

For the money I think it would be hard to find a better buy.

Overall:

Out of the eight guitars I own, five acoustic and three electrics this one might turn out to be my          favorite. the thin neck and smooth action makes it easy to play all day long with out                        the lest bit fatigue. If you want a great instrument, try the Ovation Cebelity  GCO57M I think you will love it.         .

Love my Ovation

Features:

Absolutely amazing, don't use the onboard tuner much, but it's nice to have. I love the rounded back, the smooth action and the fact that there's no pins you have to mess with when restringing.

Quality:

Again, very good. It can take my slightly rough handling; being bumped into walls and doorframes and such. Even changing temerature extremely, it does a fairly good job staying in tune.

Value:

Absolutely fantastic guitar for the money, it's a much better guitar than a lot of the expensive ones. Totally worth it.

Overall:

Overall this is the best guitar I have ever played, the sound is amazing, the look is great, the feel is perfect. I love it.

Amazing guitar

Features:

I play guitar for my church, and I needed one that I could play through the system. I went to one of the local music stores and found this beauty on the wall. I had only heard about Ovations, but never saw or heard one in action. This Celebrity Ovation has a quilted maple top and it has amazing sound!

The Stock preamp in it is incredible! The neck is nice and thin, and the action is just right for my tiny hands. I also love the mother-of-pearl inlays. The rounded back can get to some people, but I personally like it! Ovation is one of the best guitars I've played, and it is so affordable, I would highly recommend it.

Quality:

The quality of Celebrity Ovations is remarkable!  The body is resistant to weather changes because of the lyrachord back. However, watch the strings, dramatic changes in temperature can cause them to fall out of tune (just like any other guitar). The stock preamp and equilizer are astounding, although I can't seem to find a EQ I like yet, but that's just me. I just boost the bass, slightly boost the treble, leave the mid-range in the middle, and viola! Very nice guitar sound.

Value:

This is in my opinion the best guitar in the price range! The sound and craftsmanship is just absolutely awesome, and even stage musicians and major performers have used Ovation! It is a top-of-the-line guitar at an intermediate price!

Overall:

Ovation is a very well made quality instrument company. And to think they originally made spacecraft! Do not let this value pass through your hands! If you are serious about your musicianship and really care about your acoustic, this is the route to go.

Great Plugged, Good Unplugged

| Review By: rochcom | 5 months, 2 weeks ago

Features:

The guitar is easy to play although the action is a bit high for my mostly finger style playing. The built in pickup sounds great flat and has 3 band EQ if needed. An accurate tuner is also built in. It is very quiet. I have a cheap electric that is very noisy. I thought it was the cord. But with the same cord, the Ovation is dead silent when not being played.

Quality:

The guitar is well made with a very nice, though not excellent finish. The tone is great pluuged in. It is not quite as good unplugged, but has a surprising amount of bass considering the construction. It is easy to tune and holds the tune well. It does have the problem of sliding around and the tendency for the top to turn upward while playing. But I remembered seeing Kevin Eubanks playing on the tonight show in a semi-reclining position. I tried an office chair that reclines somewhat and that greatly reduced the problem. I am also going to try some velcro on the back. Some plain rough cloth might be as good.

Value:

It carries the Ovation brand and has many of the associated features while being priced in the range of the less expensive Applause series.

Overall:

Great value for the money.
