In honor of Paul Reed Smith's 25th anniversary, the company is pleased to offer a very limited quantity of 25th anniversary acoustic guitars. This instrument, nicknamed "Emma" by the PRS acoustic team, is based on original award-winning acoustics, but has many unique aesthetic and tonal appointments, including Brazilian rosewood headstock veneers, fretboard, and bridge, and is only available in the United States.
This PRS Emma guitar is built on the Tonare Grand platform. The deep body and broad shoulders produce deep tone with lots of bold projection, to cut through any mix and sound great in the process. The acoustic-electric guitar's 12" radius, wide neck shape, and 1-3/4" nut width yield comfort for intricate finger-style movements and progressions. The top is AAAA-grade Adirondack spruce, used to produce the best tonal definition possible. The PRS guitar's mahogany back and sides offer plenty of projection and strong tone that gets even better with age. These rare woods—along with classical hybrid X-bracing—produce brilliant tone and clarity that simply can't be matched by most guitars.
The set neck adds strength in both construction and tone, maintaining the power and projection perfectly, so there's no muddiness or loss of the natural sound of this 6-string beauty. The Brazilian rosewood bridge and fingerboard complement these qualities nicely, adding a striking appearance to the PRS guitar body.
The PRS integrated electronic system reproduces the natural sound of the PRS Tonare Grand "Emma" guitar marvelously. It makes plugging in and amplifying quick and simple, so you can get to enjoying the lush sound and remarkable splendor of this amazing acoustic-electric guitar.
With its luxurious nitrocellulose finish, Robson hand-machined tuners, and aluminum/bronze hardware, the PRS "Emma" guitar will turn heads every time you take it out of the case.
