I have owned this guitar for almost three years now and I have been completely Amazed by the Playability, Tone, and Quality of this Gem! It is and always will be my main Axe! The tremolo is wonderful, stays in tune! My main amp is a Mesa/Boogie nomad 45 and with this guitar I can get all the sweet Creamy Les Paul tones as well as that Classic single coil Strat sound that I love thanks to the bridge split coil switch. Im planning on buying another JH model to keep tuned differently for Live performances! That's how much I love this Guitar! Buy it!
I still cannot believe this guitar, and I've had it for almost a year now! This is a truly versatile beast! I can get many many tones out of this guitar. The split neck pickup emulates a strat very realistically, the full neck pickup sounds just like a hollowbody, and the bridge pickup can do country to metal. Seriously. The action was great when I got this, the tremolo is incredible and (quality) strings stay in tune well (even with tremolo use!) I play through a Marshall JCM 2000 40 watt combo on the clean channel, and use a TubeScreamer as my main OD, and this guitar really sings with it on or off. I currently use .011s and this guitar handles them exceptionally well. The maple neck is a favorite, and the matching headstock, neck, and fretboard is really cosmetically enjoyable! The way the neck is positioned with the body is incredible also, it's so easy to make runs up the neck! One of, if not THE most versatile, comfortable, and playable guitars I've ever seen!
This is one of the best guitars I've played. Very versitile tones. Can go from a tele to a strat to a les paul. The neck feels very much like my Telecaster, thin and fast. The finish was perfect and set up was excellent from the factory. I got the guitar 3 months ago and only tuned it once (and I use the tremelo a lot!). My amps are either a Marshall JTM 45, Fender Twin Reverb or a Mesa Boogie Lone Star Special.
