A PRS guitar for players who prefer a single-cutaway body, 24-3/4" scale, and vintage tone.
The PRS SC 245 is a classic guitar that is ready for anything: gigging, recording or providing creative inspiration. Adaptable to a variety of musical styles and perfect for players comfortable with short scale guitars, the SC 245 is a classic choice for players who prefer more traditional single-cutaway bodies.
This unique PRS SC 245 electric guitar has a gorgeous carved curly maple 10 top and a mahogany back and neck. The 24-3/4" scale length and vintage appointments make this PRS guitar instantly comfortable to players who grew up using short scale guitars. A fast wide thin neck profile offers exceptional playability. The 22-fret bound East Indian rosewood fingerboard is dressed with PRS bird fingerboard inlays. A natural maple body edge highlights the classic single-cutaway PRS guitar body.
This PRS SC 245 guitar is loaded with covered sweet sounding vintage style 245 humbucking pickups. These pickups and their placement under the strings give the electric guitar a voice that is classic, eminently recordable and gig ready. I received a SC245 Dark Cherryburst 10 top with a wide thin neck and birds form Musician's Friend. I love this guitar! I'm very familiar with PRS guitars. The craftsmanship and quality are first rate. This guitar does not disappoint. I currently own a U.S.A Tremonti Signature guitar. I love the guitar but, I have been looking for a PRS with more of a vintage vibe. Something that would resemble my Les Paul. I couldn't be more pleased. The SC245 plays like a PRS but, it has the vintage midrange punch of a Les Paul but with more clarity. It's very versatile and covers most every style of music. All except metal of course. I have the Tremonti for that. Drop tunings and metal are better suited for the Tremonti. The SC245 is for everything else. The best thing of all, it stays in tune! I can't say that for my Les Paul. This guitar looks perfect, plays perfect, and sounds perfect! It has become my "Go To" guitar. I couldn't be more pleased. Do yourself a favor and grab one of these before they're all gone. PRS discontinued these. You will not have the same color choices or the option for a wide thin neck. Well, I've got to go. It's time to play my new baby!
