OVERVIEW

An exciting commemorative model loaded with distinctive PRS-designed features.

The Paul Reed Smith Special 25th Anniversary Custom 24 SE electric guitar follows in the footsteps of the tried and true Custom 24. The guitar that Paul Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985, the Custom 24 is the guitar that brought PRS to the party. The PRS Custom 24 SE has a 25" scale length coupled with a fast wide thin shape that gives this electric guitar exceptional playability. Pearloid bird inlays adorn the PRS guitar's 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and a carved flame maple top veneer highlights the classic PRS double-cutaway mahogany body. All hardware is nickel including a PRS tremolo bridge, and PRS designed tuners. The electric guitar comes with a PRS Cordura gig bag.

I have a Les Paul Deluxe, Telecaster and Stratocasters in my guitar collection. I had never played any PRS guitar but had my interest Peaked watching Orianthi's video and SE recoomendation, also heard what Alex Lifeson had to say about how much he liked the PRS guitars, so I went down and decided to try one out.
This 25th anniversary SE Custom 24 just blew me away. I've never played a guitar that was this comfortable and fast. Techniques that I struggle with on other brands, were easy on this guitar. Also, the tremolo was excellent, which is a feature that is usually lacking on other guitars. PRS got this right on this guitar. The body is light and the thin wide neck it the fastest, and smoothest that I've played. I plugged into a Fender Hot Rod Deville to check out the Pickups and was pleasantly surprised at the clarity and the sustain. From clean to overdriven, the sound was spot on. I can't believe that this guitar is priced where it is. Definitely an extreemly good value. I decided that I couldn't live with out it, so I bought it and now it is part of my collection and will grace the stage on every gig.
Hat's off to you on this one PRS. Keep up the good work.

I loved this guitar when I first opened the box. The finish is first-rate the overall feel is great. Unfortunately, I could not get the intonation set. I tried myself (have been playing ans setting up guitars for over 25 years) and also gave it to my local tech to try. I own a PRS custom 24 and a custom SE 24 and both are great. Maybe this one was a lemon, but I returned it because of the issues with intonation. BTW, MF was great and gave me absolutely no grief on the return. Don't be afraid to by a guitar from this place!

This is a great guitar, it lets out a strong, rich sound. It looks and sounds beautiful. The only problem I've found is toughness of the finish on the body, but that's not a big deal at all

NICE!!!

By Whtwolf14

I picked this up from MF a week after I bought my American Standard Strat from MF. I got to say that I love the PRS better than the Strat. The quality is better IMHO. It's made in Korea for crying out loud and it smokes the Strat made in the USA!! Oh well, needless to say the Strat doesn't get played that much anymore if at all. Get one of these, or the plain jane CU24 SE in different colors. Awesome guitar.

I've been playing this guitar for a couple months now in a rock cover band. This guitar sounds amazing and has a very nice tone. I recommend this guitar to anyone playing any genre of music. Sounds great clean and with high gain.

This guitar rocks.

This guitar is beautiful to the naked eye. The color blue is hot, hot,hot this year and this guitar is proof. The finish is so smooth like your rubbin' butta all over yaself. And you gotta look good on stage ya know. Especially when playing in a hey monday cover band. Overall this is amazing. WOOF!

Prs knows whats good!

By superaxl

I just received this a few days ago and I must say I am extremely impressed. It is very easy to play, action is very fast with no fret buzz at all. You can play anything, metal, blue grass, what ever you want! It stays in tune very well and tremolo is fantastic. All in all I would say PRS SE 25th is a great guitar for any player, maturer to experienced. And for the price, who could go wrong?

Most versatile guitar for the money

By Robintheback

from Pennsylvania

I bought this guitar when I was in a punk rock revival band and shortly after, that was broken up so I joined a thrash metal band, and this is still the only guitar that I've needed to use. It holds tune for days at a time. The trem slides in and out easily and the stock action is ridiculous. I'd buy more if I had the money.

Phenomenal Instrument

By TheBorderPatrol

from Undisclosed

I cant recommend this guitar highly enough. I owned only a Squire strat prior to this, but I played many guitars in search for my second guitar and this one came out on top, no contest. I played Epiphones, Fenders, LTD, Schecter, and even some lower end Gibsons and this thing just smoked them. I love the flat top and the trans blue in gorgeous and the inlays give it a very distinct touch. This thing almost produces pristine tones. Using a cheap fender amp, this thing still dishes out high quality tones. No complaints of the pickups. Do yourself a favor and purchase this guitar.

A steal unlike any other!

By Anonymous

i've had this guitar in blue for about year now, it's stayed true to its qualit since i bought it, no problems, not as flashy looking as the high end prs, but still very pretty, but what really sells me is its tone! i can play classical guitar thats as smooth as butter or death metal that's whailing and sick nasty, fantastic guitar for the price... for any price. highly reccommend this guitar to any player!
