Comments about PRS SE Bernie Marsden Signature Electric Guitar:
Sound: Chunky, heavy humbucker bluesy tones from both Pups with the Neck Pup even chunkier than the Bridge. The sustain on this thing is unbelievable... 15 seconds plus. This is ideal for Blues, hard rock, anything with sustain cause this puppy has it in all positions. Really great sounding. Rather rich/full sound with the middle switch position (both Pups), a bit lighter and brighter at the bridge and full/rich in the neck position. Great quiet Pups. No hum but when cranked up to volume 10 you get some nice harmonics and overtones with distortion. // 9
Action, Fit & Finish: Magnificent finish. Really perfect. Think Rolls Royce quality and it is really that good. I pulled apart the pups and the bridge etc and looked at the joins, lining etc. Each and all are PERFECT. Very pretty finish and a GREAT looking guitar. Nice veneer top and a heavy base. Really chunky and high quality. Much like Bernie's 1959 Gibson beast. Think of this as a mini beast.
Zero flaws on this thing. Intonation = 100/100 all up and down... Just tuned this thing and started playing. Action = low and ideal. Zero buzz. Great playability. Tuners are good not great.
The nut - many reviews complain about the nut. Mine for some reason is very good... Really good. = 95/100. All the hardware is nice, effective and rock solid. // 10
Reliability & Durability: Tough and strong, heavy, chunky, reliable. Many people replace the nut and upgrade the Pups but I love it all. You can gig with this and I think the tough finish will survive. I am rough on things and this thing is SOLID. Bounced it a few times and zero damage. I mean NADA. The strap buttons are good with my straps but you may want to add lockers etc if you are very active with it. // 10
Impression: I usually play Strats and wanted a Gibson but this thing is WAY > Gibson Studios and guitars 2-3 times the price in that RANGE.
- Fret work is perfect
- Woodwork all ideal
- Intonation spot on
- Tones in all 3 positions is nice
- Tough
- Pretty
- Blokey
Great for rock, blues, anything rhythm. Not for shredding... The neck is one big bad chunky monkey. If you play lead on Frets 15-22 you will need some dexterity as the neck base and body join are HUGE. Really HUGE. Which I think adds to the tonal qualities but not the lead QC.
I love this thing. PRS Guitars have the best QC IMHO

Comments about PRS SE Bernie Marsden Signature Electric Guitar:
Read a lot of reviews before buying. I figured would be an OK guitar....but got alot more than I expected.
Looks: very pretty guitar. The pictures certainly don't do it justice.
Neck: very playable. Neck comfort and how the guitar plays is very important to me. The neck on this guitar is a little fatter than I like for playing lead but comfortable, especially for rhythm.
Pickups: OK. This is the one place that I could see lowering my rating -- but I didn't. I like the sound of this guitar better than alot of the SE models that I have played. The tone is very different than my Gibson guitars or Fender Strat so makes a good addition. Maybe I'll swap pickups some day but for now, I'm OK.
Would highly recommend this guitar if wanting to buy a lower priced guitar. For that matter, would recommend even if money is not an issue. I have bought guitars that were significantly more expensive and did not get near the guitar. I actually like this guitar better than a lot of the more expensive PRS guitars that I have played -- mostly because of the feel of the neck. I certainly have no regrets buying this guitar.

Only thing stopping it from being a "10" for me are some personal preferences:
Wish it had 4 knobs to allow seperate Tone control for Neck & Bridge.
Wish the gig bag wasn't the putrid "cranberry" color. The SE Gigbags are great quality bags but look better in dark grey or black.
Top carve and binding on the top give this guitar a real nice Les Paul-ish feel. Weighed in at 8 lbs. even so was a tad lighter than I had hoped.
LOVE the neck on this guitar!! I compared the neck on the Marsden to a 59 Les Paul replica and it was exactly the same. A nice full "D" profile should appeal to most players. It is not a baseball bat (like I wish it was... thought it'd be more "beastly" like Bernie's 59 neck) nor is it a thin 60's.
Rating as "5" = average to me. It is a guitar with all the standard "features" of a guitar.
I've owned 4 PRS SE guitars and they all are very good build quality. The Marsden seems to be even a notch higher! Wood grain in all areas is beautiful to behold as well as to hear. Finish was flawless. SOLID feeling 8lb. guitar with great tone and easy playability.
PRS SE's are one of the best values out there!
Comments about PRS SE Bernie Marsden Signature Electric Guitar:
The PRS SE lin ise are a lot of bang for the buck. The Bernie plays fast, sounds good, has a great finish. No setupsues at all. I own a SE Singlecut and PRS SE Soapbar. All are really nice guitars. A very good working man's guitar. The Bernie seems to fit into the mix better than the SC for some reason live.
The Bernie plays fast, sounds good, has a great finish. No setup issues at all.
The only thing to improve is the nut and maybe the tuners. Tusc nut would be a great improvement.
The PRS SE lin ise are a lot of bang for the buck.

You will be blown away by this one. Best guitar that I have ever owned. Including ones by Gibson ans Fender.
The neck feels great to me. Makes for a smoother playing experience.
10 times the quality of an Epiphone LP.
I don't think you will find anything this good for this price.
Comments about PRS SE Bernie Marsden Signature Electric Guitar:
Let me preface this review by saying I have been playing guitar for a long time, and have owned too many guitars to count. I recently sold my Gibson Les Paul Standard plus in order to pay some bills, and I was very upset about it. Well after paying off some things, I had a little money left over, and thought I would try to make myself feel a little better about selling my Gibson, and go get a new guitar. After some research I found this Bernie Marsden PRS SE on the internet, and it looked great. I just knew it wouldn't compare to my Gibson, but I went ahead and ordered one from a different company that happened to have one in stock. It arrived a few days later, and I am stiil trying to remember what that guitar was that I sold. This Bernie Marsden model completely blows my Les Paul out of the water. It is unbelievable in every way. The top is the sweetest I have ever seen, the color is phenomenal, the neck is perfect, and the pickups will hold up to anything out there. Perfectly setup right out of the box, and I didn't even have to tune it! I am still speechless everytime I pick it up. These PRS SE's are the absolute best guitar for the money out there. If you're thinking about forking out the big bucks on a Gibson or other big name guitar, check this baby out and save a ton. I could go on and on about this guitar......MAN, IT IS SOOOO SWEET!!!!!!!!!
