I've always liked the LP jr and tried some out. They just didn't feel that good. I had been looking at this guitar in catalogs and finally came across one at my local store. I found the workmanship much cleaner and better than the Jr. Leaving of a tone pot gives the true sound of the P90. Not a thrash or Metal Axe, just a simple rocker is what made it taylor made for me.

You will never find a nicer guitar even for 2 or 3 times the price and it's only going to go up!!!
everthing on this guitar is top shelf. The finnish is flawless,It stays in tune for days even with vigorus playing. I can't recomend this guitar highly enough. Hurry and get one before all that is left is that yellow Korina and the Mahogany and maple are all gone. The guitar is easily worth 2 to 3 times the sale price and watch them go even higher as fewer and fewer of them are left. These guitars are like diamonds in the rough. They arte a fantastic sounding instrument and you control the tone with your amp and a good tube amp hooked up to this guitar is a little bit of Heaven. By far and away one of the nicest SE's that PRShas ever made, right up there with the SoapbarII. A true dream come true. Get one whilr you can and before the price gets to be stupid money. They are a solid buy that you will never lose money on. Just try to find one before all that's left out there is that yellow Korina. Good Luck and happy hunting. This could be one of the best investments you'll make!!!!!

The sound from this guitar is great. I really like the soapbar pickup in the SE One. Picking near the bridge vs. near the neck provides a lot of versatility. Since there is no neck pickup, you can really dig in or play fingerstyle without hitting a neck pickup that is set too high. Adjusting your amp for various tones provides a lot of versatility from a simple axe. The neck shape and feel fit my hands well and the natural colour of the Korina wood is beautiful. I highly recommend this guitar. Rolling stones stuff and other tele-like songs come out well on this one.

I have always respected PRS guitars.... The build quality and attention to detail is top notch. Plus they are just gorgeous instruments in my opinion. However I have never found one that the neck suits my feel until now... The Se One neck is perfection to me. Also this guitar came setup perfectly with fret work far beyond it's price range...Perfectly dressed and not a rough edge. Granted it's not a "feature laden" instrument. But for good old rock and blues it's a workhorse I plan gigging with for a long time. Plus.... The Vintage amber finish over Korina is beautiful. I've played quite a few Les Paul Jrs and in my humble opinion this is a far superior instrument. The only mod I may make is to drop one of the new Barden P90 pickups in it. But for now.... It is one fun ride....and just a trmendous amount of guitar for the money. Best import I've played yet. Don't think you'll reget it!!! I command you to buy one!!!

Not really a fan of P-90/P-100 Soapbar pickups,got this as a gift,The P-90 is WAY TOO NOISEY,Inherent in most soapbars,WORSE in the LOW BUCK Guitars,like this. You need a decent Noise Gate,OR,a Pick-up upgrade,background noise when turned up,even on clean amp channels,is BAD. IF I were on the PRS Board and heard this one,I'd STOP Production,and get a better pickup in there,I'd NEVER buy a PRS if I hadn't heard models with BETTER Quality Humbuckers. Action is Good,Seems like a solid guitar,the Only Issue is the Lousy P-90. I expect that this would be an all 5 star review if the P-90 was not an issue. otherwise it's just a "PRETTY WALLHANGER",Just My Opinion,I've played for 30 + years,so,this isn't my first guitar andI know the difference between GOOD Tone,and,BOX IT BACK UP And Get A Store Credit/Refund TONE,..lol! I Don't like giving BAD Reviews,but,with the economy being what it is and Not easy to come by,I'd HATE to see Guitarists Spend their Hard earned Money on something that will make their Heart SINK as Soon as they Plug In and Crank 'Er UP. COME ON PRS,You can AFFORD to Cough Up some Profits and Get a GOOD PICKUP IN THE KORINA SE ONE,YOU'LL HAVE A WINNER THEN<WITHOUT QUESTION.

Out of the box this guitar play far better then anything off the wall at Guitar Center. Action and intonation are spot on. Well balanced and comfy in my hands. Not gonna lie. The p90 that comes with this is a piece of crap. Sounds horrible. I put a Dimarzio Super Distortion soapbar in it and it breaks up nice with less noise and feedback then the stock pickup. Stays in tune great. I have other PRS guitars and this is the same quality as any USA PRS I own. Don't worry about a tone knob, because the wood packs this guitar with all the tone you need. A lot of "tone" comes from your finger anyways. Good axe!

For $500 to $800 more you can get the LP jr but why?The SE One is tone candy and the craftmenship the same if not better "ok it doen't have a tone nob" Well it's already tone set.A great simple guiar!

I just took this wonderful guitar out of the box a few hours ago. I plugged it in through my Fulltone Fulldrive 2 into my Vox AC4 with the volume on 10 and it sounds INCREDIBLE. It gets a crystal clear glassy tone with the single volume knob down and overdrives great the louder the knob goes. It might not have a tone control, but for what this guitar does emit - lots of P90 bite - one isn't needed. The PRS tuners work incredibly well: I do not find myself frustrated with them at all. The Korina is beautiful and tonally sounds better to me than what the Mahogany body guitars that I own. The finish and neck feel "right". I don't feel like I'm playing plastic. I have owned the newer Gibson Melody Maker which is also a good guitar, but in my opinion this one is better for the money - the case is a nice bonus as well!

This is a great quality guitar but very limited with no tone control and a single pick-up. I always have admnired the PRS SE line but for the money I would recommend a Hagstrom F200P which has more tonal variety and flexibilty and you do not lose anything on the quality end nfor a bit less money.I must say I was never a fan of the LP Junior either, but the LP 59 gold top with p-90's now we are talking. But I like the Hagstrom better still.
