OVERVIEW

A mahogany back, maple top, humbuckers and PRS designed tremolo.

Based on the SE Mark Tremonti, designed and built to Mark's specifications, the SE Tremonti Custom trades a mahogany body and neck for a figured maple top and maple neck, providing a new aesthetic and feel for this popular model. The addition of trem-up-rout to the PRS designed tremolo bridge (previously only available on the Core Tremonti model) is also a welcome addition. The Tremonti Custom continues to feature two humbuckers, each with their own volume and tone control, and a three-way pickup selector on the upper bout.

Through his solo work and as the lead guitarist of Alter Bridge and Creed, Mark Tremonti has made a name for himself as a heavy rock player with melodic strength. The SE Tremonti Custom, like the SE Mark Tremonti before it, provides a quality, powerful single-cutaway guitar for guitarists ready to rock. Includes gig bag.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

This guitar plays like it was build for me! The only difference between this and the USA model is the locking tuners and the Tremonti Signature pickups. This has the 245 pickups. The neck PU is a bit bright, but a quick roll of the tone knob and all is good. The neck is wide/thin and the tremolo is very smooth! It is a beautiful guitar and plays great, righ tout of the box!!

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because I am a fan of Mark Tremonti and both the work he has done with Alter Bridge, his solo outlet, Tremonti, and his days with Creed. I had the PRS SE Tremonti (stop tail bridge) already, but wanted to upgrade to this one. Don't get me wrong, the less expensive fixed bridge version is a great guitar - but the PRS SE Tremonti Custom is AMAZING! I would play this guitar anywhere! The pickups are passive, but really hot - so you can get great metal sounds when they are dimed out. Back off the pups a bit and you can even get a great classic rock sound! And the neck is unbelievable! If you like thin, ultra fast necks, but want the tone and feel of a classic single cut guitar - this is the one! Lastly, the finish is BEAUTIFUL! The pics did not do it justice.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

Just picked up this guitar for the reduced price because they are discontinuing the finish. One piece of advice buy this guitar now. After I received this I sold my LTD EC-1000. No need for that thing anymore. This guitar is so versatile and just a pleasure to play. Pickups are great and can be rolled back for a growling blues fest or cranked up to a full on metal onslaught.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

I had to return 2 of these because it was built poorly. It had issues from chipping in the finish to badly installed pots to high and low frets all the way up the neck. I am verry picky about my guitars and I have owned other PRS SE's and they were great! I dont understand what happened with the tremonti. it just feels cheap all around. The only good thing I can say about it was that the neck was super fast. If you are looking for a quality SE, go with the Akerfeldt or custom 24. This one is garbage.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

Wow, I have a real winner! It sounds incredible clean, and driven hard. It plays very well out of the box. Its also beautiful. I worked on the nut because it had sharp corners and the slots needed just a bit of widening so the stings would not bind when dive bombing.
I was pleased to see that it has a 3/4" thick top (presumably maple) on top of the thick mahogany base.
I changed the stock stings to DR Tite-Fit 9s. I had to adjust the bridge to fix the intonation and buzzing on the 4th string. It is the best addition to my quiver of guitars (Fender, Guild, Steinberger, and Parker).

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

I absolutely love this guitar. It's solid all the way around with great sound. I pick this one up before my Les Paul now because of it's professional feel and ease of play. Stays in tune even with factory strings. It's definitely made with solid PRS quality.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Custom Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar for the money. Everything was spot on out of the box. Action is good and the guitar looks great. I've enjoyed playing it. My only gripe is no manual. The only thing that comes with the guitar is a registration card and a read first for possible truss rod adjustment needed. It should come with SOMETHING. No idea what strings are on it. No instruction on adjusting the bridge, tremolo or truss rod. For a novice, you'd be lost. Not even care instructions for fret and finish cleaning. Maybe it's just me. You can find it online, but even that's not trivial. Great guitar. Lousy documentation.
