Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I was very impressed with the guitar's quality. It will last my lifetime and then some. However, the documentation was enclosed in a plastic sandwich baggy? Also, the strings were shot. I had to replace them immediately. Overall the guitar sounded fine. Except, I was expecting more sustain on the E 6th string. It was kind dull and short.
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Certainly an amazing guitar! I have owned quite a few different brand guitars and nothing has caught my attention like this guitar. Could be better than my Martin D-28GE which I have prized for years. The action and the sound I get from the Rainsong DR-1000 is amazing. It is so comfortable to play and the guitar is so light in weight. I finger pick some songs with ease with this guitar. The Fishman pick is great! You can have an even sound or have more bass or treble to your likings. The action on the neck is perfect. Even and in tune sound all the way up the neck. Rock all you want with the flat pick. This guitar as it all. Just like an acoustic guitar and I think even better.
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This guitar is incredible. I was able to borrow it form my local music shop in place of my wechter acoustic guitar which is a 500 dollar guitar but doesnt even come close to what this one can do this guitar is freaking incredible and I would deffinately suggest this for anyone.
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I started out with the DR 100. I then played the mahogany bodied model and bought that. It is a bit warmer. I just bought a Jumbo and it is my new best friend! I must say the DR 100 is my studio "work horse". It can do anything! I also have Martins and Taylors. The electronics on the Taylor are far better then the Rainsong, but when recording with mics, I actually prefer the Rainsong jumbo to the Taylor 615CE. I have traveled with these guitar and they can go from Houston to Oahu in the belly of a plane and still be in tune! I have dropped them, burned them, and banged them into mic stands etc... many times. No tears, They just are great! If you ever need help regarding one, just call the company and they will talk with you and are rrally very helpful and nice. If you have the money .. get one. If you don't have the money, start saving!
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Rainsong guitars are awesome sounding, well built, and , in an odd way, very attractive. These things are a must for players in the Northeast with constant weather changes, and high humidity. I just wish they were more affordable to the every day player.
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This guitar has bell-like tone. I own a Taylor as well, which i think is a great guitar, but, nothing compares to the sound of this Rainsong.
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
---Positives---Weather Resistant Design:These guitars do not experience the same problems with environmental weather changes and moisture issues as other guitars. No waiting for the woods to acclimate to room temperature to tune or play. No wondering if the neck is going to warp. Sound/Tone:For a synthetic material guitar, it sounds really good played unplugged. I quickly got accustomed to its unique graphite tonality.Plugged in, it sounds great.Maintenance:Seems like you would never have to adjust the neck because of temperature and humidity reasons. I had a 1974 Martin D 3 the neck warped after a drought broke---it couldn't take the rapid humidity change. Because the neck is not adjustable, I have to pay big bucks to get the neck fixed. I wouldn't hav eto worry about that with this guitar.---Negatives--- Price:Because it's a production guitar and doesn't require hardwoods, I think that the all carbon guitars are overpriced (in contrast to the mixed wood and graphite versions, which are reasonably priced). These guitars would seel like hotcakes if the company lowered the prices. (Check out the CA graphite guitars; they cost less.)One Finish:No choice in color or finish. Inlays:I don't care for the shark inlays, I'd rather have dots, parallelagrams, or some other geometric shape.What-you-hear-is-what-you-get (WYHIWYG):Because these are not made of wood, the sound will not improve over time like a solid wood guitar.
Comments about Rainsong DR1000 Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
It sounds great, very well built. Really expensive, but then again, it sounds superb with no worries about the action getting screwed up.
