A Floyd Rose®-equipped, singlecut rocker with Seymour Duncan pickups from Schecter.

Schecter is breaking new musical ground with their Slim Line Series of electric guitars. Designed with an ultra-thin, lighting fast neck and a sleek contoured body, the Blackjack SLS SOLO FR is armed with Seymour Duncan Full Shred and Jazz humbucking pickups, a Floyd Rose® 1000 series locking tremolo, and Schecter locking tuners. Elegant design appointments include a "Hell's Gate Skull" inlay on its ebony fretboard, and the entire guitar is adorned with black chrome hardware.

    3-Piece maple neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3-Piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3-piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

    Satin finish and Ultra-Thin profile
The SLS collection features a satin finish neck for lightning fast playing above and below the 12th fret and an ultra-thin neck profile (19mm at 1st fret/ 20mm at 12th fret).

    Ebony fretboard
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long sustain.

Seymour Duncan Full Shred and Jazz passive pickups
The Full Shred contains double rows of Allen screw pole pieces help fine tune the high end, leaving a tone that's fat and chunky, yet perfectly defined for speed riffs. Seymour Duncan's Jazz is a classic moderate output humbucker. Don't let the name fool you; it's not only great for jazz, but also country, blues, funk, classic rock and heavy rock.

    Schecter locking tuning machines
These tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.

    Hell's Gate Skull inlay
The Mother of Pearl 'Hell's Gate Skull' inlay compliments the beautiful ebony fretboard. The thin white binding strip adds a nice highlight.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack SLS SOLO FR Electric Guitar:

This guitar has become my absolute favorite. I literally fell in love. My only complaint is with Schecter's "Set up to play." Which I have found to never be true. I have yet to receive a Schecter that I didn't have to adjust the truss rod and raise the bridge due to string buzz. This one was no different. However, after the new guitar set up I have grown accustomed too I found it was one of the easier to set up. The sound is amazing with my digitech rp500. I have played Metal, Jazz, and Blues and all sound amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to find the single coil tap. didn't even know it had it until I got it. The neck plays fast and this guitar is the lightest and most comfortable sit down and jam or record guitar I have. The Seymour Duncans are the best lead and rhythm sounds I have got out of a guitar. The Floyd Rose is just as good as the original. I guess the only difference is one is made in germany and one is made in korea. I highly suggest you DON't get it, that way I can covet the amaZing style and sound of this beautiful guitar.
