I ordered this guitar without playing it. Being as particular as I am, I was a bit skeptical. My skepticism dried up the second it arrived and I recorded with it. Although I'm not a fan of the pickups, I have an EMG KFK set to replace the SD's it comes with. The bottom line is, for what this thing costs... it feels like it was twice what it actually cost. Great value. It actually plays a lot like a Les Paul, feelwise. The body integrity could be better (arrived new with a few small mars) but hello... the price? GET ONE. Forget 7-strings. If you play extreme metal like I do, don't think twice. Forget trying to tune your standard electric down to M - get one of these instead. Sick. Absolutely great instrument. Your next step is to order one. =)

My friend bought this guitar a year ago and it played great. Until a year after he bought it the jack broke. He can never play it again. He can't fix and he took it to a shop and they couldn't fix it. Plus the strings suck. But it was great when he got the heaviest strings he could. He's a good guitarist but his instrument sucks. I hope I have helped you with this report.

    By Syn Fan

I've had this guitar for three days now and its about 2 years old. I purchased it from a pawn shop in perfect condition. It plays like a dream and the duncans have a great sound.

    Nice Guitar for the money

    By Plow Guitar Player

    from Oklahoma City, OK

This is my first Schecter guitar. I have several ESP guitars but they don't currently make a baritone. So, I decided to buy the Schecter. The pickup selector is a bit noisy, but, perhaps some contact cleaner will do the trick. Aside from that, I have had the guitar for 3 days and have enjoyed its sound thus far. BTW, you might find (as I did) that you may have to adjust the preamp/amp settings you would normally use with your standard six string to get the sound you desire out of your baritone.

if i got to build a dream guitar

    By seth-nWqmj

    from houston

I just got this guitar with some christmas money, and it's got everything! Seymour duncans, grovers, tone pros, set neck, graphite nut...I could keep going but suffice it to say that this guitar is a incredible deal. The resonance of the mahogany is great, but I gave it a 4 in quality because there is something rattling in the pickups (you can't hear it coming out of the amp). BUY IT BEFORE THEY RAISE THE PRICE. it's a fantastic instrument...kinda like a cello.

    I love it!

    By David-u1m_.

    from Hickory, NC

I bought this guitar at a local guitar shop around here and let me tell you, this guitar is freaking awesome. First off, it has a beautiful sound to it, thanks to the seymour duncans that come with it. Second; the neck is VERY smooth and easy to play on, so switching around really fast is simple and easy. I recommend this guitar to anybody who wants a really nice crunch and distortion in their music. A must buy for anybody who is starting out or for someone who is an experienced guitar player.

    great modern detuned guitar

    By rexstarr

    from Tennessee

I bought this guitar to play detuned hard rock/metal and have been very pleased with my purchase. I have three other schecters and I love them but the longer scale of the EX handles the detuned stuff way better! I can totally shred on this guitar but it takes a minute to get used to. Also, I you want to play lead on this guitar i suggest custom string sets.I use .64 .46 .34 .20(plain).15 .105.

    This guitar is a dream

    By Anonymous

This is my second guitar I've owned. I wouldn't trade it for anything the, quality is unbeatable by any guitar in it's price range. It's tone quility sounds like that of gibsons that are thousands more than this.
