Just got this guitar as part of a sponsorship. I'm pleased with the quality and playability of this guitar. The ultra access set neck, sets this guitar apart from all others in this price range. I put a Dimebucker in it cuz I like more output than the schecter pickups pump out. Still didn't sound bad to begin with. I also play a stiletto bass, and I see simmilar qualities in both guitars. Well worth the price!
Awesome guitar for this price. The pics don?t do it justice. Once I got a good look at it in the light I was amazed at it?s beauty (mine?s Cayman Blue). When I plugged it in I was blown away. The sound is incredible, especially from the insane bridge p-up. With my Line 6 Spider Jam at half volume, this thing was insane. Excellent hardware & electronics. I was very surprised by the blues tone this guitar has. This is one AWESOME guitar. My friend has been playing for 20+ years & he said it?s the best guitar he?s played in years. WOW!
I always thought Schecter guitars were USA-made, but mine is Korean. Everything else is as advertised, although my snow leppard quilt finish is more like a gray and black tiger-stripe(reminds me of my cat) flame. It's ok, but different; I expected a quilt verneer. As with most current imports, the guitar's factory specs leave the string action a bit too high for practical, 4-hour gig use, and when the action is lowered, there's that nagging fret buzzing right around and between the 7th and 12th frets; the kind of problem only solvable by a costly guitar technician, since the factory won't set it up any other way.Other than that, it's a well-constructed guitar, still very beautiful, and sounds great.
If anyone is looking for a awsome guitar for rock this is the one. I love this thing, its got 24 frets and it is so much easier go fast and do my leads. One of the coolest feature is that on the third nob (farthest away from neck) when you pull up it has a single coil pickup but with it down it has its original humbuker pickup I think you should get this guitar.
I went into the music store the other day to try out some amps so I grabbed a random guitar off the wall. I saw the "Snow Leopard" design an I though, eh this is kind of tacky but oh well. I played one chord through a Vox AC30 and I could not belive the sound feeling that I was experiencing. The fretboard was amazing, very good for sustain and just an overall smooth playing experience, one of the smoothest I've ever had. I would recommend this for all styles
Wow. This is my third guitar, and I like it better than my epiphone les paul. The coil split isn't very effective on distortion, which if you play metal or rock of any kind (besides classic... maybe) you won't need a single coil pickup. But anyway, it makes a huge difference on clean! The pickups are amazing on both distortion and clean, both of them. The ultra access neck is great too. The body contour is nice, and the picture doesn't do the guitar justice. It's great for lead and rythym parts.
Okay so I go to the local music shop I pay 600 bucks for a USED Kerry King signature V I take it home and it starts falling apart literally. The strap knob broke first day. So I took it back. I'm browsing the store and I come by this baby. I'm like "Kinda weak looking but lets see what she's got" this thing is amazing its got huge sustain lots of style options as in you'll like it from blues to Hardcore metal. The Nautical Star inlay at the 12th fret adds a nice touch on the look and I love the set net. If you got the cash I swear you won't be disappointed.
I was actually looking to buy a ESP EC500. The store didn't have it so I was about to get a Epiphone Custom LP when I saw this on the shelf. I played it and was blown away by how it sounded. The pickups scream and harmonics come out amazing. The clean sounds come out clear and warm. The split coil option is great. Looks awesome too!
I went to my local Schecter dealer and tried out many many guitars. I played the Exotic Star and nearly had a cardiac arrest. I thought: This is beautiful. For the price, I was getting a guitar that had a distortion sound just as good as a classic Gibson Les Paul and an UNBEATABLE clean sound. The playability is also UNBEATEABLE.Why pay $4 Grand for a Les or a Strat when you can but something equally as good for a quarter (or half) of the price. The jazz sound isn't as good as a Gretsch, but hey, nothing compares to a Gretsch - still amazing though. Bought.I'm loving the tap on the tone, the 24 frets, the dual-ply star on the 12th fret, the 2 volumes, and where the swich is positioned. I only like the "Snow Leopard" colour because the other two colours are very cheap looking.Buy it. You will not be disappointed.
