I took a risk and bought this guitar online (and used) but I must say, I wasn't disappointed at all. I was told this guitar was in "mint" condition, and it was, except for the chip in the head of the guitar and a small dink next to the volume knob.

But anyway, I was amazed at the quality in this guitar, especially for the price. The EMG's sound perfect, and I had a little trouble with my floyd rose but after I got it set right I haven't had a problem with it. It stays in tune and hasn't let me down once.

You can't go wrong with this guitar. I've had other guitars; Jackson, ESP, BC Rich, Fender, etc., and this happens to be one of my favorite guitars.

The guitar arrived in great condition. I had it professionally set up but a luthier and he set there was not problems what so ever. (Other than it was out of tune and intonation was a little off) The EMG's are great and provide infinite sustain. The neck-pick up provides so much bass to it with a clean sound. Neck is fast and pretty thin, Beautiful finish, and the FR Special stays in tune even when put through the hardest dive bombs. Overall, this guitar is amazing for the price.

This thing is beautiful, I got the clear black and it is flawless.
Like others have said I don't care for the strings it came with, no big deal, easy fix.
The only other minor complaint is the you need a hex wrench to do the string locks.
My other(older) Floyd Rose equiped guitar uses flathead screws that you can use a dime to unlock.
But I love this guitar.

I bought this guitar used and let me just start out by saying that I was disappointed that I wasn't informed that the top of my guitar was chipped and the volume knob wasn't even on. Not that they made a big difference, but at least let me know before hand, you know what I mean?

Anyway, as soon as I got this guitar I put some thicker gauge strings on it and had the Floyd rose adjusted perfectly and set the action much lower, because when I got it, it was much too high. A small fix.

Pros:
Very nice pickups
Comfortable to play
Looks even better in person
No fret buzz
For around $500, there's not a lot of guitars with this kind of quality

Cons:
None, besides restringing it and tuning it takes a while, but that's how the roses are.

Overall I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone who's lookin for a high quality guitar that will last without spending too much money. I enjoy playing this as much as my Jackson.

Right out the box this thing was great, the EMGs sound just as I was hoping they would. For the money this guitar is unbelievably well put. The body is nice and heavy, and the finish is perfect. I bought the "Slightly used" one, there wasn't a scratch on it, and it was just perfect all around. I love this guitar.

This guitar is amazing! The tone is great and the action is killer. I play everything from blues, classic rock, new rock, metal and punk and this guitar just flows with all styles. Play it through a clean amp and it sounds so clear. Add some distortion and the EMG's come to life. So of you play any style of rock, you should get this guitar. You won't be disappointed!

Make sure you have a few 9V batteries handy. The pickups don't eat the batteries but it's always good to keep 2 or 3 on hand.
I have the Crimson Red finish. It is stunning! The paint job is perfect all the way around. It's also got a good weight to it. It feels almost rugged; like if I dropped it, it wouldn't shatter. The splattered crosses on the fretboard are visually stunning. All my friends complement how great the Damien Elite FR looks.
With all the goodies on this guitar and the paint job you would have to pay at least double what you paid for the Damien Elite FR. This guitar is a bargain!!!!!

Overall this is a great guitar for people anywhere from novice to advanced guitarists. The EMG's bring out the highs and mids in the guitar and when putting the guitar in the neck pickup position you can get a low and more of a fat tone. The floyd rose stays in tune amazingly, i didn't have to re-tune even after whammying the crap out of it for 3 weeks! Tye only thing i would suggest is obviously replace the strings that the company puts on it, there is lots of buzz. Don't miss out on this amazing deal!!!

This is the guitar I've always wanted grocer tuners active emg pickups. A quality floyd rose neck not to wide not to thin but somewhere in the middle. The craftsmanship is far superior tobthe other companies who have skimped on their product lines for years now. Like ibanez with their junk pickups and these companies who don't file frets properly and necks warp easy but didn't in the 80's bottom like schecter pays more attention to details on their lower end models. And have greatvnecks I've played several schecters and all have has great necks. My damian elite has a blood red color and looks awesome .I bought a quality leather strap and put strap locks on it and it looks just awesome the same way it sounds. I probably went through 6 guitars in 2 years to get the sound and feel this guitar has. I can't gurentee it will feel right to you but if your a metal guy it will sound right. I play a metal muff and a bugera 1960 and get a great death metal sound most people would die to get.

got this used from this website in "very good condition" with some "minor signs of wear". Complete and total BS. This thing was IMMACULATE right out of the box. Hooked it up with some incredible sounding D'Addario strings and I was rockin' This beaut sounds like a dream and a nightmare, depending on your style. I'd like to say this is the best guitar you can get at this price range but that would under mind just how good this thing is.You can easily pay upwards from one to two-thousand dollars for the same quality sound. Get this beast, its worth every dime.
