Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
a couple years ago i played one of these at guitar center. since then ive wanted my own. and now i do. its beautiful. pictures do not match up to pulling out of that box in direct sunlight. its a solid, heavy, comfy, natural guitar. a little thick with the neck but i like it and not as bad as a les paul. it sounds amazing too. the coil tapped emgs let you do ANYTHING with this guitar. incredibly versitile. a good pluss, is that the battery cover has no screws so you dont worry about stripping out the wood. its a quick, easy change. for the price, you WILL NOT beat this guitar. no gibson, fender, or esp will come anywhere near this. the ONLY bad thing, is that the 22-24th frets are a little tough to reach with the pinky but they dont get used all that much. its still very good for soloing, but this is the perfect rythym guitar. a must buy. i am fully satisfied and wont be looking to buy a guitar for a very long time
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
Truly amazing guitar, the active pickups really give this guitar a great sound distorted or clean. the only thing I don't care for is the thickness of the neck.
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
Great guitar especially for the price plays like high end gibsons and esps.
the pickups are amazing. the locking tuners make string changing easy as can be. great fret access. the neck is a bit chunky to some ppl, but i love it im a lil ole school about necks anyways lol. honestly i wont get another guitar untill i get a custom desingn made. its still going to have the tw pickups lol.
only giving an 8 because one of my nobs hex screws is striped out, but no biggie just tighten it down till i can replace it.
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
I have bought many guitars, most being Les Pauls. I have had Gibson and Epiphone but this guitar beats them both. It looks so classy in the white finish with black hardware. It has more frets and the coil tapped PUs are a great feature since I love playing John Mayer when I'm not playing metal. This guitar is a work horse no doubt about it. It feels so solid and more comfortable than a Les Paul and IMO has an AMAZING tone for ANYTHING.
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
beauiful aesthetically and very solid feeling. To me this is a les paul possessed by satan. Very full tone, HEAVY FOR RHYTHM, versatility with taps can produce beautiful midrange clear high solos as well. Basically I highly recommend this guitar and my other one is a sl1 usa jackson soloist and the 2 pair nicely.
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
I am really not a the kind of guy that knows everything about guitars. All i can say is that this guitar sounds great, plays great, and the cost is great. If you were to spend 750 dollars on anything musical, this would be it.
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
Just got one of these on a trade its my first schecter and i am impressed, make sure you have it set up for the action you like before you truly judge this guitar,I would say the neck quality is a little less then a LTD 1000 or 600 series but thats me it is a awsome guitar and screams..
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
i played one of these in a guitar store. sadly the battery for the pickups was dead (reason for 4.5 quality) so i didn't really get to see how it sounds. i did play it unplugged though and the action and neck felt great. i've used emgs before so i'm pretty sure that this guitar sounds beastly when it is plugged. i hope to buy one of these soon.
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
First off let me say this is the most b-e-a-utiful guitar i have ever owned...The black cherry body and the awe inspiring inlays are amazingNow that first review say that is sounds like the knobs are turned down... yes it does have a bit of a weaker tone to it... but, that is not a bad thingon other guitars i would get the gain right so than when im doing a lot of palm mutes in a riff it would be powerful... but then as soon as i hit an open chord it would be too much.. or vise versa and my riff would sound weakon this guitar it an even balance when you get the gain set it just works for everything and the tap coils are awesome... i dont use the bridge in sigle coil mode all that often but the neck pickup in single coil on clean with a little reverb AWESOME
Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-6 Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar 4 or 5 months ago. The build quality and features are outstanding. The mahogany body produces a beautiful, full tone, and a versatility that a lot of guitars can only dream of when combined with the EMG 85 and 89 pickups. It will easily cover almost any genre you want from country to blues to metal. It has a much smoother tone under heavy overdrive than i expected, so for my heavier rock that requires more edge I still fall back to my Dean Evo with passive pickups.
