Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Special FR Left-Handed Electric Guitar:
I've been playing a long time and have owned many guitars, and this one by far is the best that I have owned. Awesome tone, capable of insanely fast action, and it looks beautiful. People will swear that you paid twice as much!
The only lefty that you will find with a mahogany body, quilted maple top, set neck, and Floyd Rose for the price. Throw the active EMGs in on top of that and you have an outstanding axe for the money. I play through a Digitech RP1000 fx board into a Behringer 2x12" combo amp. I play all types of music, and it has been a perfect fit for every style that I play. The tone is outstanding, and the feel is luxurious and comfortable.
The fit and finish were wonderful, however the Floyd Rose was not properly set up so I had to spend some time on that. An acceptable trade-off for the cheap price. The finish and fret markers are absolutely gorgeous! The photos do not do it justice. You will want to invest in some sort of strap lock system. It's a bit heavy, but that just adds to it's overall rock-solid feel. This is a very solid, well made instrument.
This lefty has it all. Looks, tone, playability, and features. For the price, you will not find anything better. Trust me, I looked for a long time.
