A demonic 7-stringer with dual-sound pickups.
The body of the Schecter Hellraiser V-7 electric guitar not only looks awesome with its beautiful quilted maple top and mahogany body, but allows you unhindered access to the entire 3-piece mahogany neck. An extended 26-1/2" scale length lets you get the full tonal impact of the low B note of the 7th string. Schecter's Ultra Access neck joint lets you comfortably reach all 24 extra-jumbo frets. The Schecter Hellraiser's rosewood fingerboard is adorned with awesome "gothic cross" inlays. A TonePros Tune-O-Matic-style bridge with thru-body string design adds tonal stability and sustain. Black chrome hardware and abalone body binding, add to the dark vibe of this demonically inspired Schecter guitar.
The Hellraiser guitar is fitted with EMG 707-TW pickups that feature both the humbucking sound you know and love plus a sweet single-coil sound that is accessed through push/pull volume knobs. So that you get both sounds with the best possible quality and the lowest noise, the 707-TW features dual active preamps and triple-coils. It's a real humbucker and a real single-coil in one device. These pickups give you a range of tones that will surprise you and your audience.

Schecter makes great guitars, plain and simple. When you buy a Schecter, you are paying purely for the guitar you receive, and not for the name. The features and quality of construction of their guitars are typically similar to those of guitars in much higher price ranges. This guitar is obviously meant to be a metal guitar. With that being said, I would consider it to have a tremendously intelligent sound relative to other guitars meant for metal. At the current clearance price, this is easily one of the best published deals I have ever seen on a guitar. If you like to play heavy music, and you want a seven-string, you would be crazy not to grab one of these beautiful guitars.
I've been looking for a seven string for a while now, intending to learn some metal that I was unable to with my six string. When I received this guitar, I was blown away at the beauty. The design is awesome. One thing that strikes me as odd is how light it feels. It almost feels too light for how heavy it appears to be. Something that bugs me about this guitar are the pickups. I really like EMGs, but the TWs have an abnormality in their sound due to the ability to be coil tapped and as such don't have as much gain as the 81/85-7's or 707's. But, regardless, this guitar, as is any Schecter, is fantastic.
I've had my schecter hellraiser v-7 korina finish since Feb. 2010 and still love playing everytime I pick it up!! No tuning problems at all. Finish is flawless and very impressive. I gave a 4.5 on features only because the volume knob positioning. It sounds amazing in every setting especially when playing metal. Death metal in perticular is awesome with this guitar. I tuned it down to A and didn't have any problems at all. Overall this guitar is built better, plays better, and sounds better than any other beyond it's price range and class. Buy it now!!!
