A 7-string specifically designed for today's low-tuned player.

Designed by Jeff Loomis, this extended scale 7-string Schecter electric guitar features an arched ash body with a set-in 26.5" scale maple neck. The longer scale generates the depth of tone required for body-slamming modern crunch. Schecter's UltraAccess joint yields unobstructed access to the 24th fret! The maple fingerboard has black metal cross inlays to complement the guitar's Vampyre Red Satin finish. Armed with dual EMG Active 707 humbucker pickups, which yield the attack, clarity, and sustain to propel lethal riffs. The TonePros bridge with thru-body ensures rock solid intonation while promoting maximum string vibration transference.

amazing guitar

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Jeff Loomis-7 String Electric Guitar:

Great guitar, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality 7 string.
The extended scale is great for low tunings, because even with lighter strings you still retain tension. The EMGs give a great metal tone and have lots of output. I'm not really a big fan of the Maple fretboard (even though it looks fantastic), I prefer the feel of Ebony. String through body provides great resonance. The ultra access neck joint gives great access to the upper frets.
It's a high end Schecter, you can't go wrong.
I got a great deal on mine so it was well worth it.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Jeff Loomis-7 String Electric Guitar:

I was in the market for a 7 string and was debating several brands. I was initially attracted to this guitar because I love maple fretboards but was skeptical about the longer scale and thick necks that Schecter's have.Needless to say, I made the right choice. First of all, getting a signature guitar for under $900 is unbelievable. But when I pulled this out of the box and saw the quality, I was floored. This guitar was about as close to flawless as you could get, the construction quality is some of the best I've ever seen on a guitar (the other guitars that are comparably cost WAY more).I rated the features average because there's only one volume knob and no tremolo, but both were things I prefer in a guitar. The 26.5" scale neck was easy to adjust to and the neck is thick, but comfortable. I love the frets and radius of the fretboard and the thing almost plays itself. The guitar itself is rather heavy, and smaller people may struggle with that, but I love heavy guitars. The guitar sounds great played acoustically. The EMGs are what they are, people love them or hate them. They aren't my favorite, but I don't dislike them enough to pay money to replace them. In summary, if you are thinking about getting this guitar, I highly recommend it and I'm definitely going to be checking out more Schecter products in the future.
