Great Guitar!

Features:

An absolutely great guitar for the money, Solid neck, lightweight construction, attention to detail and overall quality of the instrument are all amazing.

Quality:

The only real downside to this guitar is the neck joint, its a little harder to get around and most other bolt ons dont have this problem, not sure if the neck plate is thicker than standard or what.

Value:

Great guitar for the price, schecter has always been known for quality and affordability.

Overall:

Overall, a 9.

first off, the only reason i bought this guitar is because i couldnt wait to have a seven string and couldnt afford an Ibanez that had a floyd. but, i was surprised at the quality of this guitar. the pickups are a bit week and the action is pretty high. Also, im running .10-.60 strings and the top .60 would barely fit in the post. I tune to A standard (i play KoRn) and it does a fair job, but the Ibanezs are much faster and more comfortable to play...save up for even the most basic ibanez 7 string if you have the choice.

alrighty, where to begin. This guitar is exelent for the money. great stock sound, wired in the USA, light, durable, ect.  Plenty of reasons to buy this guitar. Its really solid and stays in tune well. my only complaint is the pickups. They are a bit sloppy on the lower end, but ive had worse so i cant really complain. go ahead and buy it.

The Schecter Omen-7 is very good quality but as they say your getting what you paid for. I compared it to more expnsive 7's and had the option of buying them but ultimatly chose this one. It was constructed well and remains in tune. My biggest complaint is the pick ups. This company emphasises guitar construction. I have a B-52 half stack and a 25 watt Ibenez tone blaster. I've noticed that with both amps there is a delay in the amount of time between the struck notes and the sound emanating from the amps ,a "lag" if you will. I will eventally replace them. The other complaint is the chord jack ,it is on the bottom of the guitar. I say that because I own a stratocaster as well ,if I am sitting the chord will not risk damage. As far as pros go the asthetics and design is what sold me years ago in the catalog I favor a tune-o-matic bridge and I'm not sure why. I want to put a locking nut on the guitar as well but the tuning keys are great and can handle strenuous bends. I also plan to change the pick up selecter and add a volume as well as tone knob. I belive many products are overrated as well as overpriced. I would give this guitar a 5.0 but knowing the guitar and the buyers budget I would like to write what the buyer is getting into. In my opinion it's a "fixer upper" ,but being an artist thats part of the fun. I hope this reveiw has been helpful ,keep in mind that no two guitars are the same.

Solid guitar but very much for a beginner

Great 7 string if you've never played one or just want to mess with one. I own 2 Ibanez RG 7 seven strings and both feel better than this. I've played other Schecter 7's(which I hated) and this one is better for me(because the Hellraiser 7 is a piece of crap) but it's still very amateur. The neck is a bit wide for a 7 string and it's obviously not a top of the line guitar but then again it's not that expensive. It does sound good and gives you a good range. The bridge is something I like on a 7 string(mine have a tremolo and fixed so this was a new thing for me but I loved it). For the price it's a good deal although I personally don't think it would stand up to my Ibanez because the neck is pretty beefy which is pretty stupid for a 7 but anyway, worth trying and overall a nice guitar.
