A fuller sound with rich hamonics.
The Schecter Omen-8 8-String Left-Handed Electric Guitar offers an unbelievable range of notes for the guitarist. Tuned to the pitches of F#/B/E/A/D/G/B/E the Omen will allow you to add a whole new dimension to your playing. The basswood body with 6-bolt neck joint provides a solid platform while the rosewood fretboard with 24 extra jumbo frets and the CTM-8 bridge promote sure-fingered playing comfort and super resonance. Schecter Diamond Plus pickups with overwound coils and a ceramic magnet produce an aggressive high output to push your amp over the edge. Made for crunchy rhythms and blistering leads. Perfect for drop tunings.
These high quality tuners feature a classic design in a lubricated and sealed housing to protect gears for a lifetime of maintenance free playability. Details include a 15:1 gear ratio for smooth and precise tuning, removable knobs, threaded hex peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.
Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.
Diamond Plus Pickups

i was weary of making the change from 6 string to 7 string then i seen this guitar and decided to just skip the 7 string and go for the 8 lol. it is a little strange at first but the neck is very flat and isnt as wide as i had expected. once i get used to the diff string spacing it will be just as easy to play as a 6 string, the tone is sick i was suprised at the balance and warmth of the guitar. the pickups are ok i like them so far. eventually i will upgrade to some blackouts but thats just a preference of mine.the pickups look like they are active but they arent. but they have a very chunky full freq response. the picture does not even come close to doing this guitar justice. in the pic provided it almost looks cheap and that is not even the case. it has a nice sculptured top and recessed knobs. very clean black finish. my guitar had a few minor cosmetic flaws around where the neck bolts on to the body but nothing major. all in all i am very happy. if you are a lefty like me i def would check this guitar out, my first schecter and i am pleased.
came form factory set up good. tuning gears are precise and accurate.f sharp string is a little floppy but can be fixed by going up a few guages.
a few flaws on the finish but what can you expect for a budget model.
