I bought the white, with the rosewood fretboard. The rosewood fretboard gives you a little more low end than the maple. Iv'e played them both. The paint was flawless, neck is a dream, doesn't go out of tune, and the hardware is top notch. You can get anything from classic tele twang to hard driving rock. And yes...it djents...haha
everything is top notch
Haven't had any issues....it was great out of the box.

My other current tele is an MIM standard, and I've owned a variety of others, including an original 70s custom telecaster and an American standard -- I'd put this one up against any of them in terms of build quality. In terms of tonal variety, this one is head and shoulders above any other tele I've ever owned. You can get classic twang on the split settings, but it also gives you a fat sound that compares favorably with many Les Pauls. I guess you could call it a "desert Isle" guitar.
It has the usual tele features, but the combination of the H-H configuration with the ability to split coils provides access to a greater variety of tonal choices than any other tele I've played.
Most of the hardware, from the Grover tuners to the heavy-duty bridge seems first-rate. I think perhaps the knobs could be a little heavier, and push-pull knob needed the setscrew tightened when I got it. I really like the black hardware -- gives it a mean look and with the maple neck and fretboard provides good visuals. Otherwise, the fit and finish is first-class. The neck-pocket fit is very tight.

Overall this guitar is Amazing in every way.
This guitar is AMAZING!!! I got it in 4 days from purchasing it online. I plugged it in as soon as I opened the box and was astounded! It's a solid Guitar, heavy duty, and built to last so you can hand it off to your kids when they grow up!!!! The maple fretboard and headstock shine like the gloss on the guitar paint!!! Beautiful Guitar!!!!!! It has a wide tone to it, while i tested different styles of music on it. It almost felt like playing a Les Paul, due to weight and sound. You won't believe how fast you tune it and how well it stays! I had a Jackson Dinky before this and theres no comparison! I notice I could hit notes way faster than usual on this guitar. I wanted a Jim Root Telecaster and could'nt afford it. I kept looking and found this and I knew instantly this was it. Boy was I right!!! I'd strongly suggest buying this guitar for any reason.
I believe Schecter has the best Quality Guitars for the price.

Perfect for pretty much any situation. With the variety of tones available, the light weight, gorgeous finish, and disturbingly easy playability, I see this guitar becoming my go-to axe for the foreseeable future. The pictures really can't do the build quality justice. From the mirror-finish black paint, to the fact that they snipped the fret tangs and dressed the edges to make the neck just that. much. smoother. The frets are all glass-smooth and the factory setup is flawless.

I have a love/hate relationship with Schecter and it's PT guitars. I own two Schecter PT Fastbacks, one three tone sunburst and one gloss black.First, I special ordered the Three Tone from Guitar Center and took it home. It looked nice, felt great and then I plugged it into my amp and it kept cutting out on me. Someone at the Schecter plant didn't wire the guitar properly. Therefore, I brought the guitar to a local shop to get that problem fixed. After that hiccup, the guitar is great! The guitar is light and has many tone features so a player will be pleased.I loved the three tone guitar so much that I recently bought another PT Fastback in gloss black to use as a backup. I special ordered again from Guitar Center and took it home. It looked nice, felt great and then I plugged it into my amp...and the pickups cut out on me AGAIN. However, this time it was when I put the guitar on a certain setting. Also, one of the toneknobs was loose. Therefore, I brought the guitar to a local shop and currently waiting for the problems to be fixed.Therefore, The Schecter PT Fastback is a great guitar for the money. It looks and feels great and I would buy again (I am planning to buy the PT Standard once I get some more money) however in the beginning, I recommend for you to examine the guitar to make sure there is no hiccups in the construction before gigging/recording or get it setup by a pro.

The pictures here dont do this guitar justice. This thing looks so much better in person. The creme binding is beautiful (matches the maple neck and fretboard great). It sounds exelent. I played this at a local store for about 10 min. Then I picked up a Fender Tele HH with 2 real Seymour Duncans. I thought the sound of the Fender would top it but I was wrong. I tried to coil tap it but I heard no difference. So i picked up the Schecter PT again and pulled the coil tap knob and I was sold. Ill be back in a few days with some cash to pick this baby up.

This is the first time I have ever reviewed a guitar befor. My buddy got one of these a few years ago and he never played it. Let me borrow it and I loved it. His was not the re release, but it was the same guitar. I normally play on les pauls, but his guitar sounds so good and plays so well that I thought about switching. I have looked for this guitar for a while and I will buy it. Eddie Vedder used to play one of these, and he still might. After playing one I can see why.

I own a 2007 PT Fastback 3 Tone Burst and for those of you who have never seen one, I'm sorry.This guitar has the looks of and feel of superior quality. With two Duncan Designs and coil tapping abilities on both I can acheive just about any sound that I want. If you are going to spend the money for a PT, go ahead and get the Fastback for the same price. I own 15 guitars and have had hundreds but this is forever in my top 3 for the money. PT I love you!!!!!!!!

I bought one of these a couple years ago as a backup to my vintage 73 Thinline Tele, and now I use the Schecter more. It has a wider, flatter, easier neck. The "Duncan Designed" humbuckers sound pretty good and the coil tap is a nice feature. I can get a fair shot at a single coil Telecaster whine using the coil tap. The guitar is very sturdy and the workmanship is excellent. Very nice guitars for a fair price.

My dad gave this guitar but He got it in the 80's. I play it alot more than he does. Great guitar only thing I had to do is change the pickups on it to Seymour Duncan- SH-1 '59 model for the neck and SH-8 Invader for the bridge.
