First lets begin with shipping. Took about 4 days to get here, no problems with packaging but it was a tiny bit banged up from the trip.

Out of the box, the guitar had a slight buzz coming from the machhine heads, but after tightening of the nuts on the top side, the buzz disappeared. They stay in tune pretty decent.

It comes strung with light gauge strings, think they are 9's. Paint job is smooth with a pretty good shine to it. Electronics all worked fine as well. Knobs are metal and don't have that cheap feel to them.

It has a solid feel to it, given it has some weight. Not has heavy as your Les Paul though. The rosewood neck was straight and pretty smooth. It didn't have that glossy feel to it. I was most suprised with the fret work. I did not find any buzzes here.

The clean tones are pretty crisp and good sounding. And I was equally impressed when playing it in distortion. Do not expect any feedback as these pups don't really have that high of an output. Decent sound though, but look to upgrade in the future.

Comes with a Schecter graphic gig bag, a small 5 ft cord and 2 small allan wrenches.

Bottom line: Great guitar for the price. Great guitar to upgrade with. Solid built Schecter quality.

I've had a lot of guitars. Fenders, Epiphones and Schecters mostly. I've had to sell them for cash during lean times. Looking for a new guitar, I wanted something inexpensive but not unplayably cheap. This guitar fits the bill. Craftsmanship is solid, it stays in tune and it looks pretty sweet. It's light and easy to play. The action on mine is super low. Good guitar to use until I can afford one better.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR Solo-6 Electric Guitar:

The SGR Solo-6 is a fantastic guitar for the money. The upper frets are easily reached and the action is nice and smooth right out of the box. It comes with a gig bag and cable. All in all this guitar is top notch as a starter or just an addition to your collection. The only thing I can say really disappoints me are the pickups. Definitely swapping them out soon.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR Solo-6 Electric Guitar:

I really like this guitar. For the price I bought it for, I was a sceptic, but once I pulled it out of the box, and even more when I plugged it in it suits me just fine. All I really had to do (which is what I do to all my guitars) was change the strings which I guess were 9s to my favorite 10s. I might put an EMG at the bridge also, but not now I am enjoying this for now.

Great Guitar

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR Solo-6 Electric Guitar:

For the money you cant beat it. Its a great guitar wether your learning or have played for years.
The schecter sgr solo-6 is a very nice guitar and ive played alot of different guitars. The neck is very nice and so is the feel of the body. The neck pickup has a very nice low to it, and the bridge has a god crunch to it. Action is pretty good, but 6th string needs a little adjusting. Great guitar for hardrock/metal.
Great for the money. Its as nice as $500 guitars ive played. worth every penny.

I just wanted to write a quick review. This guitar for this price is unbelievable and I wont say you couldn't find a better deal anywhere else because I don't know that for sure but I do know one thing this guitar is great! It is simple, sleek, and beautiful. It has a nice sound to it but hey switch out pickups do what you have to do, make it your own. I am very pleased with this product. I don't know how Schecter did it but I am glad they did.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR Solo-6 Electric Guitar:

I have a very nice acoustic-electric 6 string and 2 acoustic-electric 12 string guitars that I play through a Fender Acustosonic Jr. amp. I am really getting into the 50's and 60's rock music (Bo and Buddy) and thought an electric guitar would be better for that style. I couldn't have been more pleased with this Schecter! First of all, it is beautiful, nice to handle and it sounds great! It stays in tune. Barring and sliding notes are so much easier on this guitar..higher notes and chords are much easier to play. I had tried out much more expensive electrics at local music stores, and they did not play as easy as this one. The neck on this one seems easier to work with. For the price..this is NOT an inferior guitar.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR Solo-6 Electric Guitar:

Ive always been a huge fan of schecter. When I found this guitar for the price, I wouldve been a fool to pass it up. Probably the best purchase ive made in a while. It sounds like a $500 guitar at least. The only problem I have is the pick ups. Theyre good, but not great. Swapping the bridge for a Dimarzio then it'll be perfect.

My Les Paul is my pride and joy. This little gem is right up there. It is a solid guitar.

I gave it hard work out right out of the box. It played well and stayed in tune. For the price, any guitar player would be a fool not to add this instrument to their collection.
