An eye-catching body design topped with top-notch features.

The Schecter Synyster Gates Deluxe electric guitar features a Synyster styled mahogany body, a maple and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with Duncan Designed HB-108 Detonator pickkups iwth coil-splitting, a Floyd Rose Special tremolo/locking nut, and Schecter tuners. Appointments include pearloid gothic cross inlays, an official Syn skull logo signature on back of the headstock, and Custom Syn Skull dome knobs.
    .
    Schecter Tuners
These high quality tuners feature a classic design in a lubricated and sealed housing to protect gears for a lifetime of maintenance free playability. Details include a 15:1 gear ratio for smooth and precise tuning, removable knobs, threaded hex peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.

    Rosewood Fingerboard
The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

    Maple Neck
Maple has a uniform grain, it’s strong and stable, and it has less reaction from environmental changes than other hardwoods. Its tone is highly reflective, and focuses more energy onto the body wood. Maple transfers a bright tone to the body which complements the warm tones of a mahogany body.

    Synyster Signature and Skull Logo
Official Syn skull logo signature on back of (Devil) headstock.

    Custom Syn Skull dome knobs
Volume and tone controls feature matching metal dome knobs with Syn's infamous skull 'n tophat logo.

    Floyd Rose Special trem system
The Floyd Rose Special tremolo with locking nut lets you dive-bomb 'til the dawn's early light without going out of tune.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Synyster Gates Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I have the Syn Custom, but wanted to get a solid-black version, and this is the glossy black I wanted. It does attract fingerprints, but wiping it down liberates the finish of unwanted dust/grime.

Physically, it feels pretty solid, especially for the price. The front isn't flat like the Standard/Custom models, it has body. But keep in mind, its three bills for a reason.. Some minor things like spots on the tuner, the back panel is a tough fit, etc. Other than small things like that, it is great, and is well worth the money.

The sound is the same as the Syn Standard, pickups are SD HB-108's. Mine came with the Silver Caps, rather than the Black. Surprised me, all pictures I've seen have Black Caps. Just a note. The sound is great for beginners or just to practice with, but keep in mind they are Duncan Designed, not Seymour Duncans, so they aren't amazing, but they get the job done.

Overall: I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. Looks I give it 10/10, Feel-Physical Build 9.5/10, Sound 8.5/10-- these ratings are compared to similar priced guitars quite obviously.

If you want to have a Synyster style guitar, and have sound to match it, this guitar is the cheapest you'll find to get it.

If you are wondering if it's worth it- BUY IT.

This sale won't last forever, its well worth it now. Nothing beats the feeling of unwrapping a new guitar, let alone a gorgeous piece of machinery like this. Definitely would recommend 100 times over!
