The ideal folk instrument equipped for any stage!
This Seagull Coastline Cedar Folk Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a concert-sized model based on the dimensions of a classical guitar. The smaller body enhances the Folk guitar's mid-range sound. Godin QI electronics let you perform in any venue. The Seagull Coastline Folk is an excellent guitar for fingerstyle playing.
Seagull Coastline series guitars are one of the world's outstanding guitar values. Coastline series guitars feature back and sides made from a 3-layer lamination of wild cherry wood. With a sound that lands somewhere between the mellow tone of a mahogany guitar and the bright sound of maple, wild cherry has proven itself to be an excellent tone wood. Grown locally, wild cherry is also an ecologically friendly choice for guitar constuction. Seagull Coastline Series guitars feature very smooth necks made from silver leaf maple.
The Godin EPM Quantum acoustic guitar system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. This single-source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. The electronics and controls are packaged in a small and easy to use format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance seen only in far more complex systems.

I have used my Seagull Folk guitar for 16 years now, and the sound/tone continues to improve with age. It is great for fingerstyle playing of solo guitar pieces of Beatle's melodies, blues, jazz and just about any beautiful melodic tunes. The natural woods (mahogany neck, natural wild cherry sides/back, rosewood fretboard and bridge) selected for this guitar are beautiful. The width and low profile of the neck make it very comfortable to play on. Just be careful with cedar tops, because it is soft, and fingernails and strings flopping on the top during string change can leave dents in it. Solid cedar tops produce a nice warm quality tone, and when combined with wild cherry back/sides produces a good midrange, less bass and good treble. This is a very good guitar for learning acoustic blues, jazz and popular melodic tunes.
