Seagull

With superior construction this 12-string sounds great and stays in tune!

The Seagull Coastline S12 is a 12-String acoustic-electric dreadnought guitar with rich, full sound that only a quality 12-string guitar can produce. With a warm mid-range tone and of course, the award winning craftsmanship and value for which Seagull is known, the S12 features an ultra thin semi-gloss finish, a select pressure tested solid cedar top, and built-in Godin QI electronics that let you hit the stage fully loaded for any venue.

12-string guitars must endure a great deal of added neck stress. The Seagull neck design offers superior stability, even on the 12-string models tuned to concert pitch. The straight string pull of the tapered Seagull headstock is an especially big advantage when it comes to tuning a 12-string guitar and keeping it in tune.

Seagull Coastline series guitars are one of the world's outstanding values. The back and sides
of the Coastline series models are made from a 3-layer lamination of wild cherry wood. With a sound that lands somewhere between the mellow tone of a mahogany guitar and the bright sound of maple, wild cherry has proven itself to be an excellent tone wood. Grown locally, wild cherry is also an ecologically friendly choice. Coastline series guitars feature very smooth necks made from Silver Leaf Maple.

The Godin EPM Quantum acoustic-electric guitar system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. This single source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. The electronics and controls are packaged in a small and easy to use format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance seen only in far more complex systems.

I have owned this guitar for over 2 years now and have used it in many scenarios. The overall sound quality is remarkable. The bass booms, the highs are clear and bell-like, and all without muddying the mid-tones! I play it live regularly and have used it to do some recording for backing tracks. I even finger-style this bad boy from time to time and it is very clear at all levels

I recently purchased the seagull s12 q1 and I am very pleased with this gorgeous guitar. This is my first 12 string guitar that I have purchased and I have done fairly extensive research before i bought it. The sound and feel of this guitar rivals that of other 12 strings four times the price of the seagull. I changed the strings immediately to elixir nanoweb light gauge, and they unleashed the guitars true potential. This guitar is a huge bargain for the price, and it has that beautiful natural clean seagull look that they are known for.

Wow, what a guitar for the price. It plays super smooth and sounds excellent. I have not played live with it yet as I have only had it for about a week, but there isn't any reviews up here yet. I just figured out it has a built in tuner in the electronics. They dont mention that so it was a bonus. My only gripe is it doesn't come with a hard shell case. The tuners can be upgraded, bot overall an awesome 12 string. This will definatley be my guitar of choice for live acoustic shows!

I don't own this guitar, but I had it for a week since my friend has been in town.  Out of the week I had it, it turned me from a nylon guitarist to a 12 string guitarist.  I had a bad past with 12 strings until now.  I had a Fender, and just could not stand the difficulty it took to land certain chords, but either I improved since then, or this guitar is extremely easy to play.  My local music store is having one come in for me and I can barely wait.  The sound is so crisp and awesome.  Even when I'm shredding on it, and I'm not the cleanest shredder, but the extra open notes from my palm create this mesmerizing hum from angles that was totally worth the switch from nylon string to 12.  I used my friend's one time for leading worship at my church, and somehow the simple chords like Am C D and so on, sound cleaner, and more beautiful.  I am not going to regret it when mine comes in, and I'm sure you won't either.

Good budget 12-string

Played this for a 15 minutes at a local guitar store.  Guitar has a nice big sound thanks to full size and solid cedar top--no break in required (unlike spruce).  Sound is well-balanced with shimmering highs and decent lows.  Main drawback is the neck is huge and fat--like a 6 string bass guitar neck on steroids.  That may require an adjustment for most players.  Compare that to a Breedlove 12-string neck which is almost exactly like their 6-string.  Still, it's reasonably comfortable for at least short periods.  For the price I think it's a bargain.  It doesn't quite measure up to high-end 12-strings but for half the price, it's decent.
