A gloss-top finish and Quantum II electronics combine with quality tonewoods for a balanced, attractive sound.

By pairing a solid cedar top with locally grown wild cherry back and sides, Seagull has created an acoustic-electric guitar with distinctive tone. The wild cherry's sound lies between the mellowness of mahogany and the brightness of maple. The solid cedar top adds warmth with powerful projection. The gloss-top finish is genuine lacquer about the same thickness as Seagull's semi-gloss finish but buffed to a high luster for the added responsiveness of an extra light finish with the great looks of high-gloss. The smooth silverleaf maple neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard and rosewood bridge. The cutaway body makes the S6 + CW Cedar GT Quantum II an ideal choice for those who play all the way up the neck.

The Quantum II electronics provide a truly spectacular dual source system. The under-saddle pickup can be used on its own with excellent results in high volume situations or can be mixed with the signal from the internal microphone for more critical listening situations such as recording.

I have been playing an S6 Cedar for about 8 years now and I love the sound. I have the older L.R.Baggs pickup but it still sounds great and is getting better every year. Been playing 25 years now and other than a vintage Martin D28 or D45 I wouldn't trade this for anything.

I've been playing and performing for 20 years and I have run the Gambit when it comes to different models of Acoustic electrics.  This guitar has a perfect storm of great electronics and great warmth which is rare.  The Q2 system sounds big and bold with great bottom end and is able to produce sweet overtones.  I will not list all the guitars that I have had, but I must say that this guitar, and my Martin (with a fishman natural 2 in it) are the Best guitars I have heard plugged in.  The Microphone captures the warmth of the cedar very nicely.  The craftsman ship is superb and the guitar plays well too. (the action could be a lowered a little bit but nothing worth crying over).  It's a great guitar... and worth every penny.....end of story.  The Case is funky but I like things that are different.  I play in a Seattle 3 piece band with just my acoustics, a harmonica and a drummer. We play Rock Clubs for 4 hours a night so I demand a lot of sound from my acoustics (Bass and Treble) and this one is fitting the bill nicely. Don't over think it, just run out and buy one and you just might kick your wife out of the house cause you found a new best friend.

This guitar was a  present for my sixteenth birthday. I have owned it for almost a year now, and I still love it as much as I did when I got. It has some scratches on it from my nephew, but the sound and quailtiy of the guitar is not affected. This is a extremely well built guitar. Personally I say that it is a great buy

I own a Seagull S6 Performer and it is the best guitar for the price.  It plays like guitars that go for twice as much. The most amazing thing is that the guitar is always in tune most guitars you have to tune before you play its one of the little things that you grow up dealing with but this one is ready to play all the time you must own this guitar.

I bought a Seagull about twenty years ago, as my first "good" acoustic. It was recommended at a local music store. I still have it and it's still got a bone straight neck and the tone gets better and better with each passing year. It's been scratched, hit, dropped, abused by small children, etc. You cannot go wrong with this guitar. I still play it everyday and it's the best, sweetest, warmest tone out there, especially for the money. The Canadians are doing a wonderful job with these guitars! I prefer the noncutaway for better bass response. Happy pickin'!
