Comments about Silvertone SS11 Electric Guitar:
I bought this as my daughter's 1st real guitar. It has a thin neck allowing her to get her small hands around. The action on the neck, sound quality and build were also much better than expected from such a low cost instrument.

Comments about Silvertone SS11 Electric Guitar:
I have 10 great guitars Chet Adkins Gretch Les Paul studio Gibson and ETC all over 40 years old made in USA.So I needed another guitar like another left foot.Bought it on a whim for the price. Was completely amazed at the quality. After cleaning the points in the pickup switch, and adjusting the strings down, and intonation, I fell completely in love with it.Wish I had bought 5 to pass out to children in church that want to learn guitar.
The first thing I check on a new guitar is the frets. If you slide you fingers from the nuts to the other end of the neck, some of them of them will slice your finger open. This one was as smooth as my finest guitar. My other guitars are jealous, because I play it more than any of them now.
Would recommend to anyone who wants a good guitar to learn on and keep forevery. Thanks Silvertone.

Comments about Silvertone SS11 Electric Guitar:
This is a beginner guitar. You buy this one to see if your kids or yourself is interested enough and good enough to invest more money into a better guitar. Makes a good conversation piece if you just use it for decorating.

Cons

Comments about Silvertone SS11 Electric Guitar:
Great guitar for the price. The hardware (bridge, tuning pegs, pickguard, etc) are well built, better than I was expecting in this price range.
There where a few issues though. It came with a broken High E string, the nut was filed too deep (buzz at the first fret), so I had to fix that. The solder point for bridge was on the center tremolo spring claw, not where it should be (not a big deal, but something that should be addressed by their Quality Control).
Buy this if you plan on buying for a child or someone who wants a decent beginner guitar, and you know how to setup and do minor guitar repairs.

Comments about Silvertone SS11 Electric Guitar:
WOW...what a steal for a half a benjamin we have here in this sexy PINK strat style Silvertone SS11...I don't know how they can afford to put out this model at such a price...it is made by Samick I noticed on the outside carton it came in...it was triple boxed by Musicians Friend and arrived within a few days...I even put the whammy bar to do some dive bombing, not too serious of course without a double locking system..but it stays in tune..sounds great thru my digitech and low budget Beringer amp...i had to lower the strings at the bridge with a very small allen wrench on both of the guitars purchased, but that only took around 10 minutes to setup...don't know how long it will last, but for half a hun I won't be out much if it craps out.

Comments about Silvertone SS11 Electric Guitar:
The first thing I check on a new guitar is the frets.
I slide my hand all the way up and down the neck, top and bottom, to see if they are going to rip my finger open. These were smooth as silk all the way.
The only thing I had to do was spray contact cleaner in the selector switch, because it would lose contact. After spraying it it has now failed so far.
I hope that was all it needed.
I have been playing for over 60 years, and have a 40 year old Gretch Chet Adkins and 40 year old Les Paul Studio model Gibson. I would just as soon play this guitar as either one of them. Lowered the strings, because I play very light on like them almost touching the frets. I play only smooth music.southen gospel, big band, and soft rock.
Love the song Misty on the guitar and last date.Floyd Crammer style. Will let you know later if I have any more problems with selector switch.
