A friend of mine bought this guitar, told me about it, then returned it. When he told me that he had taken it back (didn't like the single pickup after all) I ran to the store, checked it out and bought it myself.I really like this Squier Tele. I'm all for keeping it simple, which is what this guitar is all about. One humbucker, one volume knob. No tone knob, who cares? I almost never use the tone knobs anyway - I craft tone with the amp.Simply put, this guitar is fun to play, the action is great (my friend set it up before he returned it), the tonal sounds with the three-way switch are varied and interesting - I love the middle (full humbucker) position. For this price, how can you go wrong? I love it.

Traveling Band - 40 yrs.

Comments about Squier Avril Lavigne Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I have used this guitar extensively and I have to say that it does just exactly what it was designed to do! That is with it's pickup design and lay out, and depending on where the pickup togle switch is positioned, to give the working musician an instrument that can be counted on to deliver a lead or rythym sound that can be compared to and will out perform, the hot sound of a Fender Telecaster, on the back position, the cold cutting sound of a Gibson Les Paul humbucker in the center position and the warm rounded rocking sound of a Fender Stratocaster on the position toward the neck! All of which that I have played before and I wouldn't be afraid of playing this guitar in any of their places. You just need to know your surroundings and what you're trying to accomplish with the instrument!

Comments about Squier Avril Lavigne Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I tried this Tele at a local music store through tube and solid state amps. For a single humbucking pick up I could get any sound I wanted. Close enough to a Les Paul and a Strat at a price point that is unbelievable. Workmanship was good, looks were good, feel, playability and sound were absolutely suprising. I have owned a Les Paul double cutaway, an SG standard, a Les Paul Junior, a Squier 51 and an Epiphone Les Paul Junior and other guitars. This Tele I can take anywhere, play anywhere and can play any song I want and it will sound good. Not perfect, would not expect it with this guitar, but close enough to sound good and not be concerned if something happened to the guitar. It is easily replaced as cost is not an issue. In fact, I will save my self some time and buy two of them at once. Have one at home and one with me at all times. This is a perfect starter electric for the new guitar player, perfect for a back up guitar, perfect for playing guitar if money is an issue, and one for a primary guitar just for fun or a change of pace. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself. You have nothing to lose and a great little guitar to gain. Now excuse me, I have to buy this guitar.

Comments about Squier Avril Lavigne Telecaster Electric Guitar:

The Thing I like about this,is the price, let me tell you why?If you are thinking about getting a guitar without a Tone control knob, this would be i believe, would be a good starting place, because there are guitars that cost 1000s of dollars, that have 1 volume knob and no tone knob.a person can get this guitar, and if you see that this simple set up wont work for you,you wont be out of lot money, this what i'm planing on doing, wen i have the funds.I Give Fender a lot trust in thier qulity.

I really enjoy playing this guitar! It is great because its not too fancy and complicated. I love how there is only one volume knob and no tone knobs to complicate it. It has really high action which I love! I would recomend for you to buy this guitar if you are thinking about it.

Comments about Squier Avril Lavigne Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar plays well, sounds good and should stand up to use. I can't 'do it all' but it can do bright tones nicely. I use mine most of the time. I use a Squire strat also but not as much as I enjoy playing this model. It looks pretty good, hardware seems decent.
