Best guitar I have ever bought. I feel cheated by Fender for all the American made over priced garbage I have bought over the years. Go Squier!
I just purchased a Classic Vibe 50's Strat. I also own a Fender American Eric Clapton Strat and a 62 American Reissue Strat. I have owned several other Fender American and Mexican Strats in the past. Let me tell you that my Classic Vibe puts all the others to shame. The pickups on this guitar are the Stratiest pickups I have ever had the pleasure to play! Quack like a duck! Stop wasting your hard earned dollars on American Strats and buy a Squier. You won't believe your ears! Plays great right out of the box. Chinese quality control is meticulous, has to be played to believed.
Top quality all the way!
Unbelievable!

All in all this is a great guitar with some careless mistakes on it..A shame really but i think the pickups sound great and the neck feels good and the bodys light..I would buy one again but go over it first to avoid the problems above.
It has great pickups and the neck feels great. Also the frets are nicely done
They drilled the 6 hole tremolo crooked,it looks like some guy just eyeballed it and drilled.Use a template next time?.The string tring tree hole was drilled to big for the string tree screw and the screw wouldnt tighten.I had to to use the the tooth pick method on my brand new guitar.Truss rod is hard to turn..All in all thats about it for the bad.I noticed all this stuff wrong with it unfortunatly after i modified it so,(i mean who unscrews the bridge to check the holes?),well im going to start too

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar:
This Strat arrived in perfect condition and after a quick tuning, I was playing away on it. It was set up perfectly with no buzz and great action. I'm used to playing a Gibson LP so the maple fretboard and radial surface took a little getting used to, but now I'm all over it. It's faster than the LP and lighter gauge strings and maple fretboard make for easier bending and slides. To my ears, it has a great classic Strat tone and feel. I looked at a lot of American Standards and Deluxes, but this guitar delivers pretty much the same results at a fraction of the cost.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar:
First got turned on to the CV line because I saw that they were making a pine Tele. Got one and was so impressed I tried out the Strat version. Was going to get a sunburst 60's model but they had a 50's model in fiesta red I couldn't resist. I really liked this also but then found a used 50's model in white with the gold pickguard. The white one was a 2008 model and found it had a much beefier neck which was nice, it played just as well as my 2008 American Strat which I ended up selling. Just be warned if you get the white with metal pickguard that the metal pickguard will kill the high end of the pickups, found this out after some research. Changed the pickguard for a white pearl one and the difference in tone was amazing, even though I liked the look of the gold metal pickguard better I felt sound was more important. In short the CV series are great instruments, I've been playing for 40+ years and own guitars that cost 10 x's more. On their own the CV series are fine guitars, add the low cost and you have a winner for sure. Good gigging guitars without worrying about scratching a $2000 guitar. These might go down is history like the early/mid 80's Japanese Squiers have. Go try one out if you can, everyone has different tastes.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar:
I love Strats. I own many Fenders--American as well as a few MIMs. I also own a number of G & L guitars -- Legacy's, and an S-500, plus I own a number of low end but decent Strat clones-- Samick Valley Arts, and a Samick Malibu. I also own a custom made Strat called the "Stardust" made by Neil Smith of Vegas Guitars (probably my favorite Strat type). But I am completely blown away by this Squire 50s Classic Vibe. To start with it has a quarter sawn neck (ala Eric Johnson Strat). Fit and finish--gorgeous! I put on #10 strings and did a basic set up. The neck was rather concave with the 10s but with a twist of the rod (pretty tight it was) it straightened right up. Now this thing plays almost like my high end strats. I had thought about changing out the PUs and pots, but these actually sound great as they are. This Strat out of he box is better than most Fender MIMs. This is really a great value. If I were a pro (I'm definitely not) I doubt I'd be doing shows with it, but for the hobbyist/weekend warrior type musician this is an outstanding guitar for the money.
Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar:
So there it is. The real deal. After I've seen or experienced 5 or 6 terrible Squier experiences, I was not too shure about getting another one (I had the standard series before). But after reading countless positive review and seeing the price, I just went for it. Just right out of the box, it was shining. Maybe it was just the beautiful glossy finish, but I felt something else. I suppose this is was guitarists feel when they unbox a real Stratocaster. The maple neck and fretboard, the keys, the golden Squier logo... It's beautiful. I played it alone, no amp, it was just great. The neck is incredible, perfect for strumming, shredding, power chording, bluesing and more. Plugged with headphones, I experienced my first "freaking sweet tone" experience. When I brought it at my gig, that guitar made her point. It's flawless. It feels right. It's comfortable. It's stays in tune even if you beng it like hell. This guitar will never get in the way of your technique or creativity. I own an Ibanez RG5EX1 and my Squier Classic Vibe just destroys it. It's much better than the Fender Stratocasters made in Mexico. I even like it more than a Gibson Les Paul Studio that sells for 1400$!! it's just crazy. So go ahead, whatever style you play. If you like playing guitar, that all that matters. I love my Classic Vibe.

AAA excellent
Hey it's a Strat, it does what it is suppose to do and it does it well. For the price, it is great. I bought this guitar as a gift for my Brother, He is happy as can be with this guitar. It did everything I wanted it to do and be for my Brother. It also was exactly what I was looking for, for him.OK Good luck and go for it. Thumbs Up!
It's a Strat again everything I said in the other and then some.
Worth every penny
Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar:
Hardly world-class, but a fine instrument.
This is not just a beginner's Strat, although the price might so suggest. I am particularly happy about the neck: the finish is sublime in all its gloss -- perfect to handle. I don't think the original pickguard looked good, so I changed it to a white one. The good thing about the original pickguard (color: gold) is it's metal, decreasing Strats' typical pickup noise. Bridge & bender are good. The sound of the guitar surely has a bite to it. I'm not planning to upgrade any parts soon, but maybe in the long run I'll check out some advanced pickups.
Don't like the pickguard, not crazy about the pickups.
As mentioned, value for money.

Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar 2-Color Sunburst Item # 519338000014000
Has everything you could want in a Strat (without the high price of course).
Beautifully finished (I got the 2 tone sunburst). Intonation was just perfect. The strings were set a little high but after some tweaking I got it to where I wanted it with no buzzing or fretting out. Pickups were adequate with nice sustain and that classic 50's sound. Tuners were smooth and the quitar very rarely went out of tune (and that's with a lot of string bending).
What can I say. I paid $300 for this (as I got the 15% off sale price). This is a no-brainer for someone looking for a good instrument on a budget. When I brought it into work, others who had MIM Strats liked this guitar better.
Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '50s Electric Guitar:
Really a 9+, high quality: the tiger-striped maple neck is really beautifully finished; The Alder body sunburst is stunningly turnedout and the setup out of the box is spot-on. Great string-to-string balance in all 5 positions and all the sound versatility you expect from a Strat. The custom Alnico pickups are great. How can they build this guitar for this money? You can't.
These Classic Vibe series Asian made Strats are unbelievably good for the money. For that matter, they are very good regardless of cost. My teacher, who is also a performing professional musician, has acquired one as his traveling workhorse - leaving a $2,000 Fender at home. So far, I love this guitar.
The quality of the construction and finish is what sets these asian made guitars apart, clearly superior craftsmanship to the Mexican made models.
At this price, with this level of quality and playability these CV Series are a homerun.
