Amazing looks with a full voice, vintage vibe and a glorious Bigsby.

Squier's Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster with Bigsby rocks a welcome shot of high-powered Cabronita attitude in an already-cool Vintage Modified Telecaster. A full-voiced Fideli'Tron humbucking neck pickup and standard single-coil Telecaster bridge pickup more than get the job done, with three-way toggle pickup switching, a single knurled-chrome master volume knob for a distinctive look, and a Bigsby-licensed B50 vibrato tailpiece.

Other features include a maple neck with "modern C" profile, comfortable 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, single-ply white pickguard, adjustable bridge with six threaded steel-barrel saddles and modified plate, and vintage-style tuners. Available in only one formidable color—black.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster with Bigsby Tremolo:

First Squire I've ever bought new, and first I've ever bought that wasn't in a pile of guitars, as I'm not really a "Squire guy", and own several Fenders, and have for several decades.

I bought one to use as a hybrid, with a MIM Fender Cabronita neck, Texas Custom Shop bridge pickup. The neck pickup is exactly the same as the MIM Cabs, which means very good, although not the same as a TV Jones. The body is good enough but not great, the Bigsby is a Bigsby, so obviously that is good if that is what you want. Electronics are middle of the road.

As a project guitar for a Tele with Bigsby, you can't really complain about the value. I may route out all through the back cavity and add traditional electronics, and just notch the Cab pick guard. You could throw an old school pick guard and use a single coil at the neck but it will leave a hole or two. No reason, as the Cab pickup is very tasty (although not split-able). There is a lot you can do with the guitar if you want to tweak it a little, or carve it a lot.

If you aren't interested in a project, but want a good enough Bigsby guitar for jamming, this would be fine. Add a better bridge pickup, and the tone is good enough for bar gigs and home recording, although I would look at replacing the pot and switch for any regular gigging use.

Overall, insanely good value, as the Bigsby and neck pickup are worth most of the asking price, and the neck is surprisingly good as well (MIM or better kind of good), with the only flaw being the logo ;)

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster with Bigsby Tremolo:

I have spent a lot more money and bought a lot less guitar that this little gem.The humbucker gives a nice vintage gretch or rickenbaker type tone while still getting the twang of a tele from the single coil.love it . sounds great through my vox ac151c
