Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I haven't owned a guitar in 25 years and have only played for a few months in that time. This January (2015) I decided to "have a guitar PICK ME OUT"! After months of stopping in various stores and playing what little guitar I remember, the modified blonde butterscotch Squire Telecaster did just that in a matter of minutes. I have barely been able to put it down since bringing it home 4 days ago! I've been relearning chords and running up and down scales on this wonderful ax! I highly recommend it for the price and the craftsmanship. Great job Squire!!

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

Mine was manufactured February 2014 in Indonesia. I got it at MusciansFriend eBay store for two hundred ninety-nine and 99 cents. I got the white ("Blond") one. It came super fortress packed, and amazingly "setup" right out of the box.

Sure I wish it had the Tele head-stock,and yeah the thick shiny clear coat all over the neck and fingerboard is a turnoff, but what the heck at this price I can't complain.

As another reviewer said, I agree that it comes strung with slinky 9s.
If you're poor folk like me, just get an RP-70 DigiTech to run this guitar through, and you'll be amazed at what you can get out of the Jazzmaster pickup on the '65 Fender Twin Reverb amp model.

Unless you simply MUST have a standard Tele pickup set, then steer clear of the Mex Tele. Or buy this and swap pick guards and drop in a Dimarizo replica neck pickup.

Oh, and I'll say hat the strings are fine, unlike other China and Indonesia guitars I've bought with fake rusty D`Addaroi strings.

                * (Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar)
I was looking to add a telecaster to my collection, but didn't really want to send a lot of money (but also didn't want to waste my money on a guitar that didn't sound or play well!)BIG PROPS to the people at Fender for putting so much into this awesome and affordable electric.

I was so surprised when I first got this guitar in my hands. I had a Mexico built Tele a few years ago and couldn't really tell the difference in quality and function. First off I loved the mods they made like the awesome "Jazzmaster" neck which plays like a dream! The Duncan pickups (especially the one in the neck position) where a very nice addition as well and adds so much. They didn't cheap out any where and you get a lot of the money you dish out. Can set up right out of the box perfectly, no adjustments were needed.. The only thing I will change is the strings once the org factory ones wear out. (Great service at MF as well!!)

Super stoked with this guitar and I know almost everyone that picks it up will quickly feel the same way!!! Love it.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

Guitar felt comfortable to play right out of the box. Tones were excellent.

String adjusters are not the best but do their job. Each adjuster is for 2 strings. POSSIBLY might replace them but no need to really. This is not a big knock on the guitar, just an observation.

This is a lot better guitar than others I have bought.

Shipping was good, MF (Fender?) could REALLY put more packing material in the box. Fender packs the guitar very well. When the outer box was opened there were 2 sheets of paper outside of the Fender packaging.

SO BOTTOM LINE, love it and like playing it.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I never really liked the Squier series since I thought it took away the real meaning of getting an electric guitar (for a good sound quality and durability)
But this guitar proved me wrong. This baby sounds like any tele that might cost double its price. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have that sharp tone you might want from a tele. But overall this is a great guitar for its price. Keep it up Squier :D

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I was lucky enough to get a job at a local hardware store in these last few months. The pay was enough that I was able to make enough to buy a nice guitar. I walked into my local music store with a budget, and low and behold I found this beauty. I have had my eye on the Jim Root Squier for a while, but it was just out of my price range, and this was hanging on the wall in front of me. I jumped at it. The fist amp, other than the one I plugged it into at the store was an old Gibson tube amp. I was shocked. The Ducan pickups made this tele scream! I then started running it through my Fender Frontman 25 and my effects board and it makes the tone scream. I love the tone from the bridge pup, and the Jazzmaster pickup in the neck made the dark tone a tele normally has a lot more manageable. The only thing I can complain about is the neck, but I switched it with a Strat neck I had on a Strat (the jazzmaster on a strat is perfect btw). That made it perfect, and I like it better with a Rosewood fredboard. over all, absolutely perfect, would not change a thing.

I'm in my 50s and have been playing since my early 20s. In the 80s, I had to have the tricked out floating bridge guitars, but now prefer a fixed bridge. Love they way this looks, plays and sounds. I can bend strings all day and stay in tune. A couple of minor dust flaws in the finish on the back side of the body. Sounds great through my vintage Rickenbacker amp, my Fender Mustang 2 and my Peavy Backstage 110. For the price, this is solid and sweet. Played great right out of the box.
