A basswood body with gorgeous quilt maple top, DiMarzio pickups and a modern tremolo bridge.
The JP100D Electric Guitar is based on the "Ball Family Reserve" JP6. The slightly larger body is capped with a figured, quilted maple top. This is a modern shredders dream guitar offering classy appointments with sleek modern styling. It also features a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, locking tuners, a modern tremolo bridge and DiMarzio pickups. Includes gig bag.
By popular demand, JP100 now comes factory-equipped with John's personal favorite: Made In U.S.A. DiMarzio LiquiFire and Crunch Lab pickups.
A neck pickup with a flowing, singing solo tone when used with a heavily overdriven amp and a clear chord sound with a clean amp setting.
The name says it all - "crunch" is what it's all about with a big, tight sound that's neither muddy nor thin.

Comments about Sterling by Music Man JP100D Electric Guitar:
I ordered this guitar as I was looking for a reasonably priced instrument with a tremolo bar and great tone. Unfortunately, the neck was not up to par. There was way too much buzz on the low E string starting around the 10th fret and up. I adjusted the truss according to the webpage, but it still didn't subside. I brought it to my local shop to look at it, and they said the neck had a defect in craftsmanship. Sending it back to MF to exchange it was an easy process. Unfortunately, they are backordered. Hopefully I get the replacement soon and am able to do a real review. I am not recommending this yet.
