A smaller body shape, that lends itself perfectly for vocal accompaniment.

The Takamine G FXC G260C Acoustic Guitar is a finger-style player's delight. The FXC guitar's tone is delicate and bell-like with soft mid-tones and plenty of high-end sparkle.

The Takamine G260C also holds up very well when called upon to hold down the rhythm section. While smaller bodied guitars are exquisite finger-style instruments, they are often used on stage by jazz and pop players looking for a light, comfortable performance tool that has a high feedback threshold at extreme sound pressure levels.

Takamine GFXC guitar's cutaway design adds comfort when accessing the higher-register frets. The solid spruce top offers balanced tone, while its strong nato body brings out plenty of clear projection.

A rosewood bridge and fretboard and a mahogany neck with dovetail joint deliver plenty of sustain. The neck is asymmetrical with a 1-5/8" nut width that provides comfort for intricate fretboard movements. The chrome hardware and chrome tuners and the G FXC G260C's gloss finish add a shine to this already beautiful Takamine guitar.

    g260c great guitar

Comments about Takamine G FXC G260C Acoustic Guitar:

This is a great finger style or light strumming guitar good balance sound when finger style playing.. For the price ( I M O ) theres nothing out there that will come close..
I gave this a nine because the important features to me it has the most important features in any guitar which are, stays in tune very well, spot on intonation, no frett buzz anywhere on the neck, very easy set up to your playing style..It took me less than a half hour to lay a quarter on 12th fret loosen strings pull bridge and sand down for perfect hiegth ajustment, couple turns on truss rod, plays like butter..
guitar is well made, tuners are good, for this price range i thank its the best value out there..
price to value.. hands down you get your moneys worth..

    Nice Guitar!

    By Meatyard

Comments about Takamine G FXC G260C Acoustic Guitar:

This is a SOLID top guitar, not laminate (I checked the website). This guitar does sound best fingerpicked. Strummed moderately it has good tone. The notes really ring out crisp and clean with good projection. Dreadnaught size is too big for me, so the smaller body and neck works well with my lap and hands. No electronics on this guitar but I use a Duncan Performer pickup (It fits the smaller sound hole). This is the perfect guitar for me because of tone, size and price. There are A LOT of choices out there in the guitar world but I recommend this Takamine.
No need for bells and whistles, it is a guitar in it's purist form
    Great fit and finish
For being the lowest priced guitar in their catalog, it is still pure Takamine!

    Great Acoustic for General Purposes

    By The Pancake Man

    from New Jersey

Comments about Takamine G FXC G260C Acoustic Guitar:

I needed an acoustic that could withstand the elements and still sound and look good. This acoustic fit the bill. Mine came perfectly set up with zero dead spots and 3/32" action on the low E string @ the 12th fret. Due to the smaller body its not going to get the bass of a dreadnought however it sounds great strummed and even better finger picked. The brown sunburst is well done and is on the top only. The back, sides, and neck are finished an natural brown to show the grain of the wood. The neck is a medium - thick carve and is really comfortable for chording. Only cons would be: It doesn't kick out a lot of bass and can sound tinny if strummed too hard. It sounds great for finger style and light - medium strumming. Its an all laminte guitar which makes it durable however it will lack some of the richness of a solid top if compared side by side. Overall its a great sounding guitar that excels in practice, travel, parties, and campfire playing. I definitely recommend it.
