This is a good guitar for advanced users and beginners and someone (like me) who likes to try different guitars at different price points? Ha. The fingerboard seem wider than any of my other acoustic guitars but I believe it is because of the radius of the neck. Took a little getting use to but feels good to me now. I would prefer to have it in a satin finish so it would have more frequency response.

Unless you are very hard to please, I don't think anyone who loves to play the guitar will not like this guitar (except maybe the gloss finish).

I've been playing guitar for about 40 years and this is my first experience with Takamine guitars and I'm pleased with the sound and quality for the price. I own a AJ500Me Masterbilt by Epiphone and several other acoustic guitars by Ibanez and Dean and others. It comes with abalone dot inlays, rosewood fingerboard and a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides.

It seems to be a well built guitar especially for the price. I received it with the bridge very uneven but after removing it and a little file work the action is now pretty good. Not sure why it was way off angle( the 6th string had a 1/4 to 3/8 inch clearance from the fingerboard where the 1st string had about 1/8th of an inch). Overall a well built instrument

Fantastic quality for the money, but I hear that from a lot of reviews on inexpensive acoustic guitars. This one is no exception and it does have a solid top not a laminated one which gives it a more even sound for highs and lows.

This guitar is fantastic for the money. It could easily sell for $500, yet its only $300. It's basically the acoustic version of the EG340SC. The sound is great, and it's very versatile. One upgrade I'm going to make in the future is adding a tusq saddle & bridge pins, as I'm sure the sound will ascend to even greater heights. Not only that, but the guitar looks really good. The abalone rosette doesn't hurt either. If you're an intermediate player that wants to trash your old, $150 starter guitar and get something really nice for a small amount of money, this guitar is your best bet. It can definitely hold it's own next to a lower-end Taylor.

This guitar has a really amazing sound right off the bat.  The action was good but could be improved so I decided to make a small project out of it.  Since I got a good price on it, I decided to put in Tusq nut, saddle and pins.  The result is that I have a great sounding guitar for a fraction of the price of high end guitars. I've played the Yamaha F730S (which is good) but I like the G340SC alot better.  If you don't have much $ and plan on having only 1 guitar, get this one.  If you want one to carry around or upgrade also get this one.  You can't go wrong.

This is definitely not a taylor or martin but it gets me by and I am very satisfied with the quality and sound. It has a rich sound and is very good if you don't have a lot of money..the built in tuner is very handy too and I am in love with it. The downside is that it doesn't hold tune as well but no worries with the built in tuner. Overall good guitar.

i usually play Electric...i play in a band and have been playing for 5 or so years and have only owned 1 other Acoustic other than this one. That said, i like this guitar.  Its not a Martin or Taylor, but its a good guitar, loud enough to solo, has the upper neck room, looks nice too.  Very nice wood, not heavy but not too light, good bass and "umph".  Its a good guitar to jam at the campfire with.  I may buy a pickup for it and do some stuff live with it, give my bands music more diversity/character.. Overall, well built guitar, great for hobbyist' or gigging musicians.  Get a case tho!!
